Great for slicing sourdough So I have a huge bread/cake knife I think the blade is about 15inches. I made the mistake of using that to cut into a fresh sourdough loaf. The knife was way to long, slipped on the delicious crust and I cut myself pretty bad. Good knife and a great gift I got these to use in the kitchen, but my husband grabbed it up and has been using this knife, so there you are. It was nice while I had it, particularly when breaking down something like a chicken for cooking. It was fairly sharp and relatively large. I liked the finger hole to give me leverage, but my husband prefers to use the knife "regularly" without using the finger hole. The handle is comfortable to grip and use and the blade seems pretty sharp although I confess that I expected it to be a little sharper. I love this cleaver I m 73 years old. The cook in the household, and I ve waited all my life for a cleaver like this. It s the sharpest knife I ve ever owned, and also the easiest knife to sharpen. I could go on forever, but all that s needed is saying it s the knife of knives.7 years ago

Super sharp! This is SUPER sharp right out of the box!I need to explain that I am just a home chef. I do not use professional tools but I do cook a lot for my large family. So maybe a professional chef will have a different opinion, but I think this is awesome. The weight is nice in my hand. The cover is quality. And it appears as though the tang (or the metal part that runs from the sharp part of the knife to the handle) goes all the way through the handle. It s a great kitchen knife!7 years ago

This knife is incredible. I’ve loved using this knife for meats and vegetables. Tomatoes are usually the worst to slice but this knife is so sharp it glides through most products. I highly recommend buying from Almazan Knives.8 years ago
