Good knife and a great gift I got these to use in the kitchen, but my husband grabbed it up and has been using this knife, so there you are. It was nice while I had it, particularly when breaking down something like a chicken for cooking. It was fairly sharp and relatively large. I liked the finger hole to give me leverage, but my husband prefers to use the knife "regularly" without using the finger hole. The handle is comfortable to grip and use and the blade seems pretty sharp although I confess that I expected it to be a little sharper. Overall, I d say it was a very useful knife, well-made, and delivered in a gorgeous box that would make an excellent gift.

Very sharp knife. Super high quality! I have another Knol knife that I have been using for a long time and it never dulls or rusts. This carbon steel knife is crazy sharp. It is evenly weighted and comfortable to use. The handle is wood and weighty. The blade on this knife is unique looking. The knife can cut through delicate things like tomatoes without squishing them and it can cut through tough things like cuts of meat with ease. It comes in a nice presentation box that you can use to store the knife or give it as a gift. Although I haven t been using this particular knife for very long, I do know that this seller makes quality knives that hold up for ages without even needing sharpening. This one is even sharper than my first one and I think it is higher quality. This is a very, very good and versatile knife.

I have a few expensive Chef s knives that I have collected over the past 50 years. Some of them cost close to $100 each. They are great, but have to be sharpened frequently. I was given this knife as a birthday present, and loved it so much I bought one for my sister. I have had my knife for about 11 months, and I have not had the need to use a steel to realign the molecules, nor have I had to sharpen it. This is one amazing knife. It cuts tomatoes effortlessly, which is a true sign of a sharp knife.

I was able to use it to chop vegetables immediately and it just slides through anything I put it up against. Wow! What a knife! This is my new favorite tool. Out of the box, it was wicked sharp. Immediately washed it, oiled it and put it to work. It s weight makes it a great chopper for meats, but it s razor like blade allows you to cut with finesse. Would definitely buy again. Great bargain!

Heavy Duty wanted a butcher knife similar to what she uses, this knife met that criteria. When it arrived the first thing I noticed is that it s heavy, it s definitely sharp, and the price was right. Very Heavy Duty Knife! This is a very heavy-duty knife! The blade has a good depth and thickness. The length is very nice, and allows me to cut odd shaped loaves, such as a round loaf of sourdough bread. The serrated blade cuts well. The grip is large enough to fit well into a large hand such as mine and feels solid. It is not one of those cheaply-made hollow handle knives. Overall, a very well made product, in my opinion.

Nice looking knife. Has a nice balance to it and feels good when I m chopping vegetables. But notice the knife started to chip away after a few months of use. It s become dull quickly after the first week of being used. Can barely cut any meats anymore. Sharpening could help, but hate to see the knife already being chipped.

When I cut the meat from whole lamb with my hands had coveted the animal oil, I could hold it well.I didn t grind it until know. It s sharp now. I thought 2 to 3 weeks to grind it should be well.It has been using whole week now and so far. I like it.I highly recommend this chef knife with decent price

The handle is gorgeous and ergonomic, though "pakkawood" simply seems to be laminated acrylic impregnated wood I bought as I prefer to have a chefs knife and this one very much fits the bill. This is a real knife When you hold his knife in your hand you ll know what I mean by a real knife the blade is almost a quarter of an inch thick and feels great in the hand, very sharp. as a razor blade, I sliced tomato with this thing a 1/8 in thick.

The 2 things I thought might feel cheap were the handle and the sheath, but those are also really nice. I thought the handle might be cheap plastic, but it feels nice and has slight groove, and so at least looks to be a dark wood. The sheath is stamped leather and is of a nice color.

Multi-use knife great for everything It’s a decent heavy knife I love cutting, chopping, and slicing, it does it all sharp blade. It’s great after cutting stuff to scooping veggies onto the knife and taking them straight to the pan.
