Sharp (ouch) We really like this knife. Seriously though it’s pretty sharp and the wife and I have both cut ourselves while slicing bagels (because we hold the bagels like idiots). Put the bagel down Karen and use a cutting board because just one touch cuts your finger open. Oh and the handle fits in well with our other black handles knives.3 years ago

The knife packaging comes nice enough to give as a gift, and also very safe with little guards on the blades. The handle almost looks decorative. Enough so that I would not want to put in my dishwasher. Something to consider since the price is right and does a decent job.4 years ago

Fantastic for the price Fantastic knife! Good weight. Nice handling. Very sharp and keeps a good edge so far. I have not honed or sharpened it yet. I keep a brush with oil on hand to lightly brush it with oil to keep it from rusting. Sure to last as far as I can see. It s leather sheath is very durable. The only small problem with the sheath is that the knife catches a bit on the snap that it has when drawing it. So far the best cleaver I have used. Well worth every penny. It is not warped and has not cracked as shown in other reviews.5 years ago

Overall this knife is not bad for the price. It does come in a nice gift box.. It is definitely sharp at first, but after a couple weeks of use, I had to sharpen it. Ever since then I sharpen pretty often. Also, the tip is very thin. Mine chipped after weeks of use. With that said, it’s not not a bad knife! But it’s not a chefs knife. If you’re looking for a professional knife that will last, I would look elsewhere.5 years ago

The sharpest chef knife:This is an amazing chef knife, especially for its price. It can cut through everything we threw at it . It is super versatile, you can cut meat, chicken, vegetables, fruits, etc. It really deserves the classification "Cook s Knife".The edge hasn t lost any of its sharpness and we use it heavily every day. It is very sharp so you need to be careful when using it. If you re an inexperienced cook you might get a few cuts on your first use (I did).This was definitely one of our best purchases for our kitchen it improved significantly our cooking time and made cutting anything super easy.If you re thinking about buying those cheap knife sets forget about it! Very sharp , be careful , great knife Out of the box this knife was really sharp and has some weight to it. You only have to use a little pressure and it cuts through. I must agree with many reviewers that the knife if hefty! It has substance! It feels good in the hand and after washing this morning, I used it to prep items for breakfast!LOVE this knife. Great Piece! These knifes work really good! Super sharp and the various knifes work for different items that I want to cut. The handles fit nicely in my hand and feel really sturdy. Excellent Multi-Purpose Clever Also extremely handy all purpose chopper, any chef who knows their way around a kitchen or product in question will know that this heavy blade has a myriad of uses. The sheath is also a nice touch, so it can also be serviced as an outdoor/bbq/meal prep clever. Forging Serbian Chef knife is an Excellent Addition to your Kitchen This knife is EXTREMELY sharp, with excellent craftsmanship. We’ve used it on the Ironwood cutting board, to debone the meat, and slice/dice veggies, great for slicing through a watermelon, cantaloupe, etc., and for cutting whole chickens for frying. Beautiful and super sharp This knife is great. It looks beautiful and I can 100% confirm is hella sharp. I was able to test this theory in less than 10 minutes by almost slicing half of my finger off while cutting an onion. I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone who has any basic skill with knives; BUT if you re the kind of person whose mother preferred to clean the chinaware all by herself before letting you hold one of her plates, you may be MY kind of person and you should get one of those gloves that protect fingers and stuff before using this obviously quality made blade.10 years ago

Just what I needed. This is a great knife. First task out of the box was to split an oven roaster chicken. Did this with ease. The knife has a nice weight (and razor edge) and when right through the chicken bones. The very next task was to finely chop fresh herbs for said chicken...again excellent control. The handle is well attached and the black patina from the heat treatment gives the knife an old world look. My family raises and butchers chicken and beef. This knife will get a workout.
