Very nice knife- it’s very sharp but not like unbelievable Sharp. I made some French dip on the smoker - it cut the cooked meat nice and easy- very little effort- but it didn’t slice it lunch meat thin. It slipped on the juicy meat at one point while I was slicing and landed on my finger cutting me. Good news for me that it didn’t slice super deep- but if it was razor sharp it would’ve gone to the bone- I got lucky. Anyway- one bandage later and I enjoyed a great meal. Good product, diverse uses I’ve had this knife for a few weeks, we are very avid cooks. Spent a few months comparing similar items that are twice the cost with similar ratings. This blade is super sharp it is heavy and makes using it a dream, I peeled a hand of ginger and the sharpness allowed me to remove just the skin it looks big but that is what you want when chopping or slicing and you can slice thin with this blade. If all of Almazanknives are this good I may be buying the rest of the knives in this line.4 years ago

This knife is very lightweight and easy to use. It come out of of box extremely sharp so be careful. I have a large hand and the handle is a tiny bit small for my liking but it is still very comfortable. We only use it for cutting meats and it has no issues after using it for about two months. The handle is very pretty being a dark black and brown wood. Looks kind of like bocote wood.4 years ago

I ve Bought Five of These This is my go-to kitchen knife and I just leave it out on my Boos Block cutting board. Sure, I use my Shun knives for stuff but this knife is great for almost everything. The first one I bought was for my son who is in culinary school. Then I bought one for myself. Now, when I have someone I cook for they almost say "What a cool knife". So the other 3 have been gifts. Sharp (ouch) We really like this knife. Seriously though it’s pretty sharp and the wife and I have both cut ourselves while slicing bagels (because we hold the bagels like idiots). Put the bagel down Karen and use a cutting board because just one touch cuts your finger open. Oh and the handle fits in well with our other black handles knives.5 years ago

this is an extremely great blade. this blade is extremely hard and will keep the edge for a very long time but the downside is that the blade isnt very tough and is also really thin so it can snap fairly easy. it shouldn t be an issue for those who have at least 3 brain cells. the blade is beautiful and extremely light. And with all the chromium it wont rust. you will have to go out of your way to ruin this blade. extremely high quality for the price and the little case it comes with is really great5 years ago

I love to cook and have been dealing with dull, cheap knives for years, until my son told me about this knife. It has truly been life changing! I cook from scratch almost every day, and this is super sharp and comfortable, and cuts through hard items like raw sweet potatoes and squash with ease, makes fine dicing of onions super easy, makes trimming raw meat quick and easy - it is a true time saver! Just a head s up - it is really very sharp, and so even though it warns you of that on the packaging, the first thing I did right out of the gate was cut myself with it when I attempted to de-seed a pepper in my hand like I normally would have with one of my old, dull knives haha. It was just a minor paper cut type slice thank goodness, but yeah it really does work! It says not to put in the dishwasher, but one time a family member did put it in the dishwasher with no apparent ill effects. Probably not good to do on a regular basis though.7 years ago

Can t say enough good things about it. Easily the best knife I own(and the cheapest). I had reservations when I ordered it. But the moment I used it, it was nothing but pure satisfaction. This as a gift for me and I love it! My husband ordered this as a Christmas gift for me and I love it! I’ve had it for roughly five months and it is still my go to and still super sharp. It comes extremely sharp so I would be very careful especially if your inexperienced with knives since it does not hesitate. Wow. First of all, the presentation alone makes this knife look 3x more expensive than it really is. It showed up in a sleek black box with a vibrant red moulding inside. I was very impressed when I saw this as I ve ordered knives online before and they just show up in a plastic case. So the knife itself is beautiful. It has a handsome wood handle and is super lightweight. Right out of the box, I began prepping dinner for that night. The way it sliced through chicken was impressive with no effort on my part whatsoever. It s very comfortable to hold and easy to clean. longlasting sharpness:I am a culinary professional and I can honestly say this is one of the best knives you can get for the money. I ve had mine for about 6 years now and is still my go-to workhorse knife in the kitchen. Handle is incredibly comfortable very easy to maintain a sharp edge when cared for properly. It is by no means the top of the line but that said it certainly performs like it. 10 out of 10 would recommend for anyone from beginners to season chef.Nice kitchen knife.
