Heavy Duty wanted a butcher knife similar to what she uses, this knife met that criteria. When it arrived the first thing I noticed is that it s heavy, it s definitely sharp, and the price was right. The leather holder for it smelled kind of funny so I put it outside for a couple of days and now it s fine. No complaints at all.9 months ago -
I m completely impressed by this knife. I wasn t sure what to expect because of the modest price but was pleasantly surprised. The knife feels great in the hand and has very good balance. Very good quality and razor sharp right out of the box. I use it as a chef s knife so I m not hacking bones with it but it slices beautifully and easily. I can t speak to how it holds an edge or resharpens because I haven t had to touch it up yet. I don t think it ll be a problem. I do recommend this chef s knife.9 months ago

Really nice knife : This is the chef knife that I ordered. Being a professionally trained chef, I am finicky about my knives. For this price point, I don’t think you are going to find a more well-balanced and accurate piece of cutlery. Keeps and edge very well, and I really do love it, and am loving this overall! Blade is as sharp as sharp can be. Balance is outstanding. Handle is beauteous. If only it came with the same quality sheath. Worth it This is a really nice knife! Really good quality. When washing it I was reading reviews about rust and it’s not a problem as long as you wash it by hand and not a dish washer and actually dry it off. Amazing knife. Pro material Great knife. It’s become my go-to for separating chickens and cutting root vegetables. I’ve only used it a couple times on other things, but I try to keep my knives separated by task so I can rely on them better. This is a great knife at the price point. I have knives far more expensive than this, but this will be the best knife most people have in their kitchen. It is balanced well, sharp out of the box, and it has a full tang leading to a nice weight. I have not sharpened it yet, so more to follow there, I will update my review at that point. Nice looking knife. Has a nice balance to it and feels good when I m chopping vegetables. But notice the knife started to chip away after a few months of use. It s become dull quickly after the first week of being used. Can barely cut any meats anymore. Sharpening could help, but hate to see the knife already being chipped.4 years ago

When I cut the meat from whole lamb with my hands had coveted the animal oil, I could hold it well.I didn t grind it until know. It s sharp now. I have never used a knife that slides through everything with such ease. I went to slice open the plastic packaging for the sausages I was cooking, and I thought I had missed the plastic - it was that smooth. I barely had to apply any pressure when slicing up the sausages. Cutting up the carrots, cauliflower, and apples was amazingly easy, as well. That knife This is a beautiful knife and it comes in a very nice presentation box with a tip protector. I think pakka wood is some sort of laminated wood but whatever it is, it looks good. I ve Bought Five of These This is my go to kitchen knife and I just leave it out on my cutting board. Sure, I use my other knives for stuff but this knife is great for almost everything. The first one I bought was for my son who is in culinary school. Then I bought one for myself. Now, when I have someone I cook for they almost say "What a cool knife". So the other 3 have been gifts. Super sharp, cuts beautifully:Overall a great chef knives for use in a commercial kitchen. However, the blade has a high gloss polish that smears and picks up finger prints . It also has an extremely long grip. I have average size hands and I have an extra 2 inches of room. Great for some one with large hands but also this does hinder use by those with smaller hands.I am truly impressed with a knife that this one cuts or slices with such ease.Makes cooking so much easier.Great deal, great knife! Very sharp! More heavy duty than needed for general cutting and chopping for cooking stir frys, frittatas, and such but the wide blade makes it easy to scoop up what you just cut up.
