Almazan Creekside Cleaver Butcher Knife with Durable Leather Sheath

Been looking for knives to replace some old, full tang, wooden handle knives that were sharpened so much, they were super thin and the edge was destroyed. I tried many cheaper knives and was super disappointed, whether steel or ceramic. I tried this chef knife based upon reviews and reduced price at the time. These knives have great balance with full tang. Solid delrin handle is sturdy and fits my hand well. Knives arrived very sharp and seem to be maintaining their edge just fine. We were so impressed, we purchased 5 more mercer knives. Very happy with purchase.

I confess this is my first nice knife. After having this one for just a couple of weeks I see what I ve been missing. Meal prep is no longer a chore to be dreaded. Rather than bludgeoning my fruits and vegetables, I effortlessly create the actual neat shapes and sizes called for. Caring for my new little knife is as easy as a quick rinse and towel-dry after each use. So for me, it has been an unexpectedly good purchase.

Such a beautiful knife...im a chef with 25 years of line experience...Out of the box it s the sharpest knife I ve ever used as far as I can remember. It s a good weight and feels comfortable in the hand as well. I ve julienned about 10 lbs onions and diced about 5 lbs of tomatoes and the egde is still sharp. The ease that it passed though the softest tomatoes was astounding. The blade is thin and delicate so you can make some precise cuts... however it is not intended for rougher tasks like hard mincing of fresh rosemary and thyme spigs, heading whole fish, smashing garlic with the side of blade, or trying to hack at frozen stuff...obviously. picked it up for 20 buck on sale. An absolute steal in my opinion.

Nice looking knife. Has a nice balance to it and feels good when I m chopping vegetables. But notice the knife started to chip away after a few months of use. It s become dull quickly after the first week of being used. Can barely cut any meats anymore. Sharpening could help, but hate to see the knife already being chipped.

I have a few expensive Chef s knives that I have collected over the past 50 years. Some of them cost close to $100 each. They are great, but have to be sharpened frequently. I was given this knife as a birthday present, and loved it so much I bought one for my sister. I have had my knife for about 11 months, and I have not had the need to use a steel to realign the molecules, nor have I had to sharpen it. This is one amazing knife. It cuts tomatoes effortlessly, which is a true sign of a sharp knife.

I know it s cheap, but it compares very favorably to the similarly priced Victorinox Fibrox, which I ve had for years. Sharper than the Vic for now at least. I keep it from staying wet very long due to the carbon content, and so far no rusting and it s staying very, very sharp with just honing. I wouldn t use it for abusive use like bones, but for fine veggie chopping and especially tomatoes, it s the best knife I ve used.

I love to cook and have been dealing with dull, cheap knives for years, until my son told me about this knife. It has truly been life changing! I cook from scratch almost every day, and this is super sharp and comfortable, and cuts through hard items like raw sweet potatoes and squash with ease, makes fine dicing of onions super easy, makes trimming raw meat quick and easy - it is a true time saver! Just a head s up - it is really very sharp, and so even though it warns you of that on the packaging, the first thing I did right out of the gate was cut myself with it when I attempted to de-seed a pepper in my hand like I normally would have with one of my old, dull knives haha. It was just a minor paper cut type slice thank goodness, but yeah it really does work! It says not to put in the dishwasher, but one time a family member did put it in the dishwasher with no apparent ill effects. Probably not good to do on a regular basis though.

I like this knife. The blade is very sharp. I can easily cut through hard watermelon skin that I used to push very hard to cut into it with my old knife. Also, I like the handle. It’s very comfortable to hold. Overall, it’s a high quality knife.

These are great kitchen knives for the price. After cleaning them, per the instructions, I chopped 6 lbs of Vidalia onions and 15 lbs of potatoes. They cut much better then the knives I had been using. I would recommend these to friends and family

Heavy, sharp and versatile. Very heavy knife with excellent construction. It was razor sharp right out of the box and I like the shape for chopping vegetables and mincing herbs. I’m very happy with the value of this knife. I’ve been rubbing it with vegetable oil after every use due to its carbon content just like I would do to a carbon steel wok and there has been no sign of rust whatsoever.

Great Knife for the $$$ Very happy with this purchase. The knife is light weight, very sharp out-of-the-box and easy to handle. For the price the quality is outstanding. It is also well balanced. I sometimes have trouble with some knives because I have tendinitis in my wrist. This knife doesn’t hurt my wrist and I’m able to use it for extended periods of time without pain or fatigue.

Sharp razor :I purchased this knife for a vacation home that was lacking decent chef knife. I was looking for an inexpensive knife that would have adequate performance. I was not disappointed. The knife is of excellent quality and is very solid. It is razor sharp and holds it’s edge well. It has a very nice weight to it and fits well in the hand.The feel and balance of the knife is excellent, and the sharpness is so good. Would definitely recommend and will be buying more.

extremely sharp :Really sharp. I would not advise for your day to day cook. You need some experience in handling cutlery to properly handle this chef knife. I really like it but I would not be comfortable with having inexperienced people use it. I cut my finger just getting it out of the box but that was my fault (I survived). I also would recommend that the non-cutting edges be rounded or protected from incidental cuts. Also, be careful when cleaning as the blade is extremely sharp!. I definately recommend this chef knife for knief lovers.

Great wood handle :I very like to cooking the food. So I bought this chef knife instead of last one. This was a good deal.I like the wood handle that made me very comfortable. When I cut the meat from whole lamb with my hands had coveted the animal oil, I could hold it well.I didn t grind it until know. It s sharp now. I thought 2 to 3 weeks to grind it should be well.It has been using whole week now and so far. I like it.I highly recommend this chef knife with decent price

Just A Fantastic Knife :I m a very senior home cook and have owned most all brand name knifes over the years but this knife is the best i ve ever owned. Not only is it attractive and well balanced it cuts thru almost anything like soft butter. Have only had it for four months now but so far it s like brand new. Will update this review in the future if anything changes but right now I highly recommend it. You can t go wrong for the price and quality of this knife.i highly recommend this chef knife.

Great knife. I got this on a flash sale at a great price, but it is a great knife, with a great handle. I am replacing my cheap knives with top quaity ones, and using the old knife block, but with top of the line knives.

Great everday knife for kitchen I ve used this knife on multiple items so far. It cut raw chicken & meats very easily for me. There was no sawing required like some of my other knives. The size is perfect to make it a versatile tool in the kitchen. The knife is hand washed and dried. I have had no issues with this knife and it seems like it will be a sturdy knife for everyday use. So that makes me feel like they are confident in the lifespan of this knife. I am very happy with this knife and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent blade:The first thing you ll notice when you pick up this knife is how great it feels to hold. The ergonomics of the handle are superb. The second thing you ll notice is how light it is. Most premium knives use a thicker blade stock and denser handle materials, but this blade is thin and the handle a medium density plastic. For my taste, it s perfect. Great quality, well-designed chef knife:When I opened the box, I was immediately pleased by the design. The wood handle is beautifully crafted and feels great in the hand. At this price-point, I wouldn t have been shocked to find some imperfections in the look and feel, but it appears that it was well made. I am very impressed by the look and feel, it easily rivals my much more expensive knives.The blade is a very nice size and shape. It came very sharp, right out of the box. I was able to use it to chop vegetables immediately and it just slides through anything I put it up against. Beautiful and super sharp This knife is great. It looks beautiful and I can 100% confirm is hella sharp. I was able to test this theory in less than 10 minutes by almost slicing half of my finger off while cutting an onion. I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone who has any basic skill with knives; BUT if you re the kind of person whose mother preferred to clean the chinaware all by herself before letting you hold one of her plates, you may be MY kind of person and you should get one of those gloves that protect fingers and stuff before using this obviously quality made blade.

Great knife for the price Great knife for the price, great design and super sharp. It has a nice graspable handle. The blade of the knife does will when it comes to cutting bread and large fruit. It isn’t too lightweight, but it is good to cut hard cheese, that is what I need.

Wow! What a knife! This is my new favorite tool. Out of the box, it was wicked sharp. Immediately washed it, oiled it and put it to work. It s weight makes it a great chopper for meats, but it s razor like blade allows you to cut with finesse. Would definitely buy again. Great bargain!

Great knife Found this knife while looking at another and decided to purchased based mainly on price. Received a couple days later in a nice box, with leather sheath and super nice knife. Efficient chopping and transfer to the pan. Very sharp! More heavy duty than needed for general cutting and chopping for cooking stir frys, frittatas and such but the wide blade makes it easy to scoop up what you just cut up

Excellent Multi-Purpose Clever Also extremely handy all purpose chopper, any chef who knows their way around a kitchen or product in question will know that this heavy blade has a myriad of uses. The sheath is also a nice touch, so it can also be serviced as an outdoor/bbq/meal prep clever. Edge is holding up fine, however I would say this would require a grinder to effectively sharpen.

Very nicely weighted when held properly! Super happy with the knife. Very sturdy and sharp, cuts meat without any effort. Love it s good quality scabbard. Only disappointment I received was that one of the handle s rivet is set at an angle improperly but it s holding well so far. For the price at the time I paid , can t be beat.

My new favorite chef knife! The weight of the knife will cut through chicken breast. Very sharp, and no imperfections upon initial inspection. Have only used the knife a handful of times but I like it alot. Its a hard metal, and so far so good. Time will tell how this hold up. As long as the knife is hard and you have a good sharpener, you will always have good cuts.

Good knife and a great gift I got these to use in the kitchen, but my husband grabbed it up and has been using this knife, so there you are. It was nice while I had it, particularly when breaking down something like a chicken for cooking. It was fairly sharp and relatively large. I liked the finger hole to give me leverage, but my husband prefers to use the knife "regularly" without using the finger hole. The handle is comfortable to grip and use and the blade seems pretty sharp although I confess that I expected it to be a little sharper. Overall, I d say it was a very useful knife, well-made, and delivered in a gorgeous box that would make an excellent gift.

Sharp and handsome Handsome knife in tooled leather holder. This knife is SHARP! My husband really enjoys using it for cutting meat, veggies etc, it works great. Probably one of the nicest knives for gifting. Just make sure once you’ve cleaned it you dry if off immediately then rub some oil on it. It has the tendency to rust if not.

Mean and good It s heavy, well built, and cuts like butter. I bought it a while ago, but yesterday I chopped chicken with it myself(normally the task is outsourced to the men of the family). An Amazing Knife! This knife is a heavy cleaver that comes very sharp out of the box and cuts like crazy! The heft of the knife can be a bit tiresome but the handle is very comfortable so the tradeoff is worth it. It cuts through potatoes, carrots, and everything else with ease. The sheath comes with the knife. YES, it comes that sharp! After each use, it must be washed and then lightly coated with cooking oil so it will not rust. BUY ONE, you will NOT be disappointed!

Forging Serbian Chef knife is an Excellent Addition to your Kitchen This knife is EXTREMELY sharp, with excellent craftsmanship. We’ve used it on the Ironwood cutting board, to debone the meat, and slice/dice veggies, great for slicing through a watermelon, cantaloupe, etc., and for cutting whole chickens for frying. Great value for the money; just be careful...this knife is super sharp, but one of the best purchases we’ve made in cutlery. My wife loves this knife.
