Best and sharp knife Just got this and went on a chopping spree this blade is super sharp it is heavy and makes useing it a dream, I peeled a hand of ginger and the sharpness allowed me to remove just the skin ot looks big but that is what you want when chopping or slicing and you can slice thin with this blade if all of their knives are this good I may be buying the rest of the knives in this line

Great addition to the kitchen tool box. This is a great addition for someone looking for a meat trimmer and dicer. I primarily use it to trim the fat off of beef or pork roasts and chicken. Works well because it is super sharp and the heavy blade makes it easy to slice through tough meats. I questioned the finger hole but it helps with control. All-in-all it’s a great knife for the price.

Wow - What A Knife! I ve never had a chef s knife before and this seems like a very good one. It s well balanced and feels good in the hand. The handle is made of wood and feels very comfortable as you hold it. It comes in a nice presentation box and it has a slip-on guard that covers the entire sharp edge. I assumed the hammered design on the sides was simply for looks, but it also serves to shed the cut food as you cut through thicker things - a nice touch. The blade is made of carbon steel, a preferred material for knives. The proof is in the cutting, of course, and I first tested it by slicing through a sheet of paper as I held it and it made nice clean cuts. Then I progressed to steaks, onions, and cucumbers. It made quick work of them. The blade is very sharp and the weight works for chopping as well as slicing. I ll be using this one frequently for a long time.

I was shocked at how nice this chef s knife is based on it s cost. It is perfectly balanced, the handle is made of a luxurious and finely finished wood that is beautiful and it cuts like a champ. I have owned much more expensive knives that were not as balanced in the hand, not as well finished and didn t come with a beautiful handle. I would recommend this to anyone on a budget who appreciates quality. Beats the low end JA Henckels and Whustoffs by a mile. I don t know how they produce such a nice piece for so little money. Do I recommend this product? Overall, this knife makes me look like a chef. I don’t have much use for the leather case ( not sure if it’s real) unless I’m going to be carrying around with me wherever I go ( pretty sure can’t do that). It’s crazy sharp, I sliced and diced some carrots and onions like a pro. Do I recommend this product? No. I Highly recommend this product.

Sharp and stylish knife This knife came in very beautiful packaging along with a leather sleeve to keep it safe while you are not using it. The knife is really of great quality and the sleeve looks very expensive too. I purchased this knife primarily to use for cutting thicker pieces of meat and it really makes life easier. It has this sharpness and enough weight to slide through the peace of very thick meat without putting much effort into it. It has a great design that makes it comfortable to use and also adds a little style to my kitchen, I like everything about it so I think it s worth it!

Sharp (ouch) We really like this bread knife, it slices through bread like a serrated knife through cooked dough products. Seriously though it’s pretty sharp and the wife and I have both cut ourselves while slicing bagels (because we hold the bagels like idiots). Put the bagel down Karen and use a cutting board because just one touch cuts your finger open. Oh and the handle fits in well with our other black handles knives.

Impressive value for a quality knifeI purchased this for my man who is a chef. As some of you may know, chefs are very particular about their knives, and even though he wasn t looking for the best knife out there, it had to fit a number of must-haves . it had to have a wood handle, it had to be made of Good Steel, and it had to be simple in perfect design. I m happy to say that the chef knife exceeded his expectations! The packaging was really well done and extra consideration was made to keep the blade safe and secure. A handy wipe cloth was also provided in the box, though I am told chefs don t really use it. General comments from the chef is that the knife itself is well balanced and well-made, the blade is extremely sharp and has held its edge over the past month while being used daily, and the handle is surprisingly really comfortable. The knife handle was completely smooth.i recommend it

Shaves right out of the box. This blade shaved my arm straight out of the box. I successfully used this heavy blade to process several large hogs an two deer. I have not had to sharpen it yet. It s a slicer and a chopper. Glad I bought it.

Amazing Looking Knife This knife is a thing of beauty. I ordered it for my kitchen although it really looks like it would be best used for camping and outdoor activities. This full tang knife has an attractive wood handle. The blade is thick and heavy. The top of part of the blade is textured which looks amazing. This knife comes with a sheath. Although this knife is sharp, I will sharpen it some more as it s not as sharp as I prefer. Since I ordered this for my kitchen, I m using this knife in my kitchen. I ve used this knife to cut an acorn squash which is a tough task for any knife. The heft of the blade turned out to be helpful in cutting through the thick skin although care was needed because it was not easy to do. The thick blade plus how this knife is balanced was helpful in cutting through the squash s skin. I liked using this knife more than a larger, thinner, and sharper knife I also tried for comparison. My rating is 5 stars because I can t get over how this knife looks and feels in my hand.

Excellent chef knife for the price I m impressed with this chef knife, especially for the price. It is beautiful and practical. It has a good weight to it and feels well balanced in my hand. These knives hold their edges very well assuming you re not abusing the knives or keeping them knocking around in a drawer. I love the weight of these vs a transitional full bolstered Wusthof. You get EXACTLY the same quality steel as the high end Germans, with the slightly lighter (and better in my opinion) balance of Japanese blades. The added bonus is the chef knife comes with a rounded spine, which is super comfy if you use a pinch grip (as you should). An additional plug for the boning knife too. It s a sheer joy to use and I ve broken down whole ribeyes, briskets, and many a fowl with it. Again, LOVE THESE KNIVES. Top quality for a fraction of the price.

This knife is great. It looks beautiful and I can 100% confirm is hella sharp. I was able to test this theory in less than 10 minutes by almost slicing half of my finger off while cutting an onion. This knife went through the layers of that onion as fast as college withered my soul back in 2012. I would definitely recommend this knife to anyone who has any basic skill with knives; BUT if you re the kind of person whose mother preferred to clean the chinaware all by herself before letting you hold one of her plates, you may be MY kind of person and you should get one of those gloves that protect fingers and stuff before using this obviously quality made blade.

Quality for price I wanted the really good Alamazn Chef knife but couldnt affordable knife. I got the Chinese knock off....its high carbon blade that seems like a proper heat treat was applied. Sharp Knife. Will write back on how long the knife holds its edge.

Awesome value Super sharp, full Tang. My knife skills stink, however this knife makes it easy. Comfortable in the hand- well balanced. I have used it on bison, beef, pork, bacon, apples, kiwi, tomatoes,even grapes! You just have to remember to wash & dry it right away. I treat it just like my cast iron, oiling after a wash. The sheath is a nice bonus.

I’m not a professional chef so much as an avid home cook. That said, I cook nearly everyday. I had been back and forth between this knife, Wustohf or Henckle. Living overseas in Japan I couldn’t find a place that carried this knife in order to actually put it in my hand, but the massive amount of amazing reviews sold me on it. I’ve used both of the other two I mentioned and they are great, but I just couldn’t justify the price tags when the reviews were so good for this one. Feels great in my hand and is well balanced. I’ve been using it very often for about three months now and with regular use of a steel it’s stayed super sharp. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this knife for anyone!!

The knife itself is weighted perfectly. It is easy to use and balanced nicely. The handle has a solid core which is part of the blade and from the looks of it should never wear out. The blade is thick, a little over 2mm and hard! I am impressed with how long it stays sharp given how much it gets used and how quickly past knives dulled.

Beautiful Knife for Precision Cutting :This is a great knife. A fantastic knife. My go to knife. I love it because I can cut my ingredients all the same size. Whether I need brunoise my celery, julienne my carrots or cube my meat, I get the accuracy. The blade is neither too thick or too thin, which I think is key. I have the 7 inch Kitchen Knife. This is a very sharp knife. It has a gentle curve on the blade, so slicing is very easy. It glides through firm items and does a nice job on tomatoes. It has an attractive handle and nice feel to it. I will see how well the blade keeps its edge over time. Also, just received paring knife. Paring knives are not too exciting, but this has an attractive angle like the kitchen knife and a similar, very sharp, blade. I like the handle. It has nice weight and a comfortable feel. I use it almost every day for knife work with any small items.

Seriously a GREAT Knife! his knife with its weight distribution, solid handle and ease of handling can cut through so many things as though they were butter. I have used it extensively on slightly still frozen meats that again to my amazement slices right through them. I can then marinate the meat pieces while still slightly frozen. When cutting veggies and fruit the super breadth of the knife makes for ease of scooping and transferring either to your bowl or into the wok, pan or whatever you are using. Incredible value! Its also a "handsome" knife and seriously performs better than advertised!

Overall I am very happy with my Chef Knife! I have to say that I am not a great cook but I need to use it everyday for housecook, which is certainly demanding, so in my experience I can say that the knife is really well balanced, it is a fancy knife, coming in an amazing box and looking very beautiful! Then, right out of the box it is incredibly sharp and it has been like this for the time I have had it! I mainly use it to cut vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc, and of course meat and chicken (no bones). Also, the weight is perfect as we can feel its quality and the handle is comfortable and ergonomic.

It s what you re looking for. Right out of the box it s sharp as a razor. Comes with a thick leather sheath that was perfect for keeping it clean and secure while camping. The blade will need a little attention as it s not stainless steel so gently oil it after hand washing. Honing won t be frequent but you can strop it after use.

A knife with substance! :I was surprised to receive the knife early in the morning and, 3 days early! It came in a nice box well protected. I must agree with many reviewers that the knife if hefty! It has substance! It feels good in the hand and after washing this morning, I used it to prep items for breakfast! Very nice! Ridiculously sharp! Very Cool Bread Knife The best bread knife I have ever used to slice bread. It came with a very pretty case. The knife is so sharp that it goes through the bread without tearing it up. It is made of very high quality steel and has great serrated edges.

I looked up online what a pakkawood is before buying this, and pakkawood is handmade that makes for a strong and ultra-durable material. The knife handle looks quite vintage as it seems to be made of "real wood".The pakkawood is more durable but share the same look of real wood. No Bolster increases efficiency I really like the fact that there is no bolster to this knife. Which increases the efficiency of the entire blade & in regards to future sharpening if necessary. The blade is the heavier point of this knife. Plenty of space is provided between the handle & blade. Finally, it fits well into both my hand & my room mates hand.

This knife is one of my favorites now. It comes with a sheath, I honestly haven t used it yet. I just hang it on the magnetic strip. I like this knife so well I have used it to spread butter and jam. This knife is NOT A joke, it s not an overly light knife, it has some pretty good weight to it.I love that this comes super sharp, the last thing I love is sharpening knives. Very nicely weighted when held properly! Super happy with the knife. Very sturdy and sharp, cuts meat without any effort. Love it s good quality scabbard. Only disappointment I received was that one of the handle s rivet is set at an angle improperly but it s holding well so far. For the price at the time I paid , can t be beat.

Sharp (ouch) We really like this knife. Seriously though it’s pretty sharp and the wife and I have both cut ourselves while slicing bagels (because we hold the bagels like idiots). Put the bagel down Karen and use a cutting board because just one touch cuts your finger open. Oh and the handle fits in well with our other black handles knives.

Sharp and sturdy!! Was just as described, just used it for the first time. It is nice a heavy and very sharp. It is not a flashy knife if that what your after but it is well made and should last a lifetime.

The chef s knife is heavy-duty but not too heavy to use comfortably. I was surprised by how sharp it is I used it to slice a pork loin I grilled and it was a breeze. I love it so far and would recommend to anyone needing something beautiful to work with, to try Almazan Knives products.
