Knife is well made, looks nice and accurate. It is easy to maintain and holds sharpening pretty well. I’ve Zwilling Professional S knifes and it is very competitive for a fraction of a price. As far as utility knife goes, Zwilling has a wider blade. But it is really the almost only way that I can differentiate them. The design, quality, feeling are interchangeable. They hold age about the same time. It is possible that Zwilling is a little harder, at least I’ve to put more pressure honing.12 months ago

longlasting sharpness:I am a culinary professional and I can honestly say this is one of the best knives you can get for the money. Long lasting blade and great sharpness:Bought this a gift for a friend. Heard from her brother that it carved the turkey quite nicely over Thanksgiving and see was looking forward to using it on the Christmas ham. She loves it and that s really all that matters to me. Just what I needed. This is a great knife. First task out of the box was to split an oven roaster chicken. Did this with ease. The knife has a nice weight (and razor edge) and when right through the chicken bones. The very next task was to finely chop fresh herbs for said chicken...again excellent control. The handle is well attached and the black patina from the heat treatment gives the knife an old world look. My family raises and butchers chicken and beef. This knife will get a workout. Have only used the knife a handful of times but I like it alot. Its a hard metal, and so far so good. Time will tell how this hold up. Such a beautiful knife...im a chef with 25 years of line experience...Out of the box it s the sharpest knife I ve ever used as far as I can remember. It s a good weight and feels comfortable in the hand as well. I ve julienned about 10 lbs onions and diced about 5 lbs of tomatoes and the egde is still sharp. The ease that it passed though the softest tomatoes was astounding. The blade is thin and delicate so you can make some precise cuts... however it is not intended for rougher tasks like hard mincing of fresh rosemary and thyme spigs, heading whole fish, smashing garlic with the side of blade, or trying to hack at frozen stuff...obviously. picked it up for 20 buck on sale. extremely sharp :Really sharp. I would not advise for your day to day cook. You need some experience in handling cutlery to properly handle this chef knife. I really like it but I would not be comfortable with having inexperienced people use it. I cut my finger just getting it out of the box but that was my fault (I survived). I also would recommend that the non-cutting edges be rounded or protected from incidental cuts. Also, be careful when cleaning as the blade is extremely sharp!. Great knives for the price!! I was impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the knives. I was looking for a boning knife and purchased the boning knife and the large butcher knife. The handles are a little small for my hands, but I have large hands, otherwise the handles are very nice and the knives arrived super sharp. Normally, I sharpen knives upon arrival and felt that I was not going to improve on the edge of these knives. Amazing Looking Knife This knife is a thing of beauty. I ordered it for my kitchen although it really looks like it would be best used for camping and outdoor activities. This full tang knife has an attractive wood handle. The blade is thick and heavy. The top of part of the blade is textured which looks amazing. This knife comes with a sheath. Although this knife is sharp, I will sharpen it some more as it s not as sharp as I prefer. Since I ordered this for my kitchen, I m using this knife in my kitchen. I ve used this knife to cut an acorn squash which is a tough task for any knife. The heft of the blade turned out to be helpful in cutting through the thick skin although care was needed because it was not easy to do. The thick blade plus how this knife is balanced was helpful in cutting through the squash s skin. I liked using this knife more than a larger, thinner, and sharper knife I also tried for comparison. Purchased this on a whim because I needed a beater knife for when the in-laws or friends visited and needed to cook. For the price it’s a decent knife. The weight is a bit on the light end, especially when compared to my Wusthof chef knife but that blade was 3x the price. The knife came with a good edge out of the box but durability is still to be seen. I’d recommend for someone who just needs an extra “beater” knife or someone who just needs a cheap chef knife to get their knife collection started.7 years ago

Lovely knife. Well worth the purchase : I love this knife. It s razor sharp out of the box. The blade has enough meat on it s bones to be sturdy, but not so much as to feel heavy to use. The handle is gorgeous and ergonomic, though "pakkawood" simply seems to be laminated acrylic impregnated wood very much like the gunstocks that you can buy. I prefer to have a chefs knife and this one very much fits the bill. I will update later if my impression changes for any reason , but so far I am very happy with this purchase as well as the set I bought. Great for the price. I’m not a chef by any stretch. I bought the knife because I have big hands and thought it would be easier to use. I wasn’t disappointed, it’s large, heavy, and sharp. It took a bit but it is the only knife I use now. For the price it is hard to go wrong on this.7 years ago

Amazing, especiallywhen you see the price for it! Comes in a nice box that you can use too store it once you re done. Comes very sharp, clean, and ready to go. I love this knife even after a year because it holds its edge pretty well. nicely balanced and versatile7 years ago

Great quality knife for a great price. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and sturdiness of this knife. This knife was recommended by a chef friend, that has had his over a year and said it only needs minor touch ups on the edge every now and then. So far I love this thing. It has a great rustic look and came with a good sharp edge. I highly recommend this knife. I think you get more than what you pay for.7 years ago

Good knife and a great gift I got these to use in the kitchen, but my husband grabbed it up and has been using this knife, so there you are. It was nice while I had it, particularly when breaking down something like a chicken for cooking. It was fairly sharp and relatively large. I liked the finger hole to give me leverage, but my husband prefers to use the knife "regularly" without using the finger hole. The handle is comfortable to grip and use and the blade seems pretty sharp although I confess that I expected it to be a little sharper. Overall, I d say it was a very useful knife, well-made, and delivered in a gorgeous box that would make an excellent gift.8 years ago

Very sharp knife. Super high quality! I have another Knol knife that I have been using for a long time and it never dulls or rusts. This carbon steel knife is crazy sharp. It is evenly weighted and comfortable to use. The handle is wood and weighty. The blade on this knife is unique looking. The knife can cut through delicate things like tomatoes without squishing them and it can cut through tough things like cuts of meat with ease. It comes in a nice presentation box that you can use to store the knife or give it as a gift. Although I haven t been using this particular knife for very long, I do know that this seller makes quality knives that hold up for ages without even needing sharpening. This one is even sharper than my first one and I think it is higher quality. This is a very, very good and versatile knife.8 years ago
