Quality for price I wanted the really good Alamazn Chef knife but couldnt affordable knife. I got the Chinese knock off....its high carbon blade that seems like a proper heat treat was applied. Sharp Knife. Will write back on how long the knife holds its edge.

Just what I needed. This is a great knife. First task out of the box was to split an oven roaster chicken. Did this with ease. The knife has a nice weight (and razor edge) and when right through the chicken bones. The very next task was to finely chop fresh herbs for said chicken...again excellent control. The handle is well attached and the black patina from the heat treatment gives the knife an old world look. My family raises and butchers chicken and beef. This knife will get a workout. I ll review it in six months and give an update.

Mean and good Its not heavy, well built and cuts like butter. I bought it a while ago, but yesterday I chopped chicken with it myself. I love it. Its a beautiful knife. And it delivers a chop. The look is very handmade and adds to the personality. Get a thick resin chopping board to help this guy do your work.

Awesome value Super sharp, full Tang. My knife skills stink, however this knife makes it easy. Comfortable in the hand- well balanced. I have used it on bison, beef, pork, bacon, apples, kiwi, tomatoes,even grapes! You just have to remember to wash & dry it right away. I treat it just like my cast iron, oiling after a wash. The sheath is a nice bonus.

An amazing blade that can do just about everything. I must say this is a great knife! The full tang and heavy spine gives it the cutting power of a full butcher knife. Its heavy but balanced which plays well when you need intricate cuts. The curve of the spine to the point gives it the finesse of a chefs knife. In no way does this knife replace every knife in the kitchen but with the amazing leather sheath mean you can take this and only this in the back country and do everything from dress an animal to cut veggies to cook with it. I love this knife.

This made my dad and I closer I showed him this new knife and he said it was pretty cool, but how s it cut. Well, let me tell you if my dad likes one thing: it s a whole chicken broken down into eight pieces. This knife cut through it with no problem, and my dad giggled with delight when I playfully tossed the wishbone at him.

Heavy Duty Blade Am a man. Very sharp and heavy blade. I was surprised by how thick the metal was. The weight of the knife might tire someone with smaller or more delicate hands. It’s beast at chopping. I use the wide blade as a sort of spatula when doing prep work in the kitchen.

Excellent Multi-Purpose Clever Primary uses for the item are butchery of meat. Also, extremely handy all-purpose chopper, any chef who knows their way around a kitchen or product in question will know that this heavy blade has a myriad of uses. The sheath is also a nice touch, so it can also be serviced as an outdoor/bbq/meal prep clever. The edge is holding up fine, however, I would say this would require a grinder to effectively sharpen. :D

Great Buy! I was really surprised at the quality of this knife. I expected something cheaply mass produced to look hand made, but this knife actually is made to last! Amazing knife. Pro material Great knife. It’s become my go-to for separating chickens and cutting root vegetables. I’ve only used it a couple times on other things, but I try to keep my knives separated by task so I can rely on them better. It’s nice because the back of the knife is so tall that often, it stays above what I’m cutting, so it stays nice and clean and easy to control. The sheath is very nice. It fits perfectly in the leather sheath and you can fold the clasp away so you don’t accidentally cut it off.All that said, I love this knife and it is now one of my primary knives for tough root vegetables and butcher work.

Super sharp! This is SUPER sharp right out of the box!I need to explain that I am just a home chef. I do not use professional tools but I do cook a lot for my large family. So maybe a professional chef will have a different opinion, but I think this is awesome. The weight is nice in my hand. The cover is quality. And it appears as though the tang (or the metal part that runs from the sharp part of the knife to the handle) goes all the way through the handle. It s a great kitchen knife!

Amazing Knife The knife itself is amazing and works great. It is sharp and cuts through food as well as I had hoped it would. It is well packaged in an easy to wrap box, The edge is sharp and it cuts everything that I ve used it on well. I love that the handle is part of the knife itself, making it full tang and removing the need to worry about grime getting between the handle and the blade.

This knife is sharp! I didn’t touch it up at all and it glides through food. I bought a separate guard for it to keep the edge safe in our drawer. The fit and finish is perfect. There are no gaps around the scales, the rivets are ground smooth and flush, the spine of the blade is slightly rounded and smooth. Been using it for a month and it’s still sharp. I’m very impressed coming from a Giada chef knife I’ve been using for the last 10 years that needed frequent sharpening/touch ups.

I’m not a professional chef so much as an avid home cook. That said, I cook nearly everyday. I had been back and forth between this knife, Wustohf or Henckle. Living overseas in Japan I couldn’t find a place that carried this knife in order to actually put it in my hand, but the massive amount of amazing reviews sold me on it. I’ve used both of the other two I mentioned and they are great, but I just couldn’t justify the price tags when the reviews were so good for this one. Feels great in my hand and is well balanced. I’ve been using it very often for about three months now and with regular use of a steel it’s stayed super sharp. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this knife for anyone!!

I like knives and this one is a good looking nicely balanced chef s knife for regular kitchen duty. The handle is comfortable and the blade has a good shape for all the chores you d use a chef s knife for. The only, minor, point on craftsmanship is the wood to metal fit could be a bit better. My family and I have history when it comes to dull knives. Despite buying a brand new knife, it s dull within a matter of a few days and constantly sharpening it can be a hassle. However, we need a knife to make our food as we eat a lot of meats and hard vegetables like ginger, turnips, etc. I decided to buy this knife because of the good reviews, and WOW! I love how the handle is smooth and melds into your palm, quite comfortable to hold! I used it for the first time to cut frozen meat, and usually my hands starts to ache within the first couple of minutes, but surprisingly, I didn t experience any pain so far with this knife. The blade really is sharp because it just glided through our tomatoes and pineapples. No extra effort had to be put in for this knife to do its job. I recommend this knife to all who cook!

Overall I am very happy with my Chef Knife! I have to say that I am not a great cook but I need to use it everyday for housecook, which is certainly demanding, so in my experience I can say that the knife is really well balanced, it is a fancy knife, coming in an amazing box and looking very beautiful! Then, right out of the box it is incredibly sharp and it has been like this for the time I have had it! I mainly use it to cut vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc, and of course meat and chicken (no bones). Also, the weight is perfect as we can feel its quality and the handle is comfortable and ergonomic.

This knife is weighted well, high quality materials, and good steel. If you purchase it, be ready to sharpen it right away upon opening. I ve rarely bought knives that were this dull straight out of the box. Still though, after sharpening it s been a really great knife and it s held the edge pretty well too.

I have never used a knife that slides through everything with such ease. I went to slice open the plastic packaging for the sausages I was cooking, and I thought I had missed the plastic - it was that smooth. I barely had to apply any pressure when slicing up the sausages. Cutting up the carrots, cauliflower, and apples was amazingly easy, as well. I m going to take good care of this little gem of a knife!

The knife itself is weighted perfectly. It is easy to use and balanced nicely. The handle has a solid core which is part of the blade and from the looks of it should never wear out. The blade is thick, a little over 2mm and hard! I am impressed with how long it stays sharp given how much it gets used and how quickly past knives dulled.

These knives are so nice,they came in very pretty gift box, I used them to cut steak, fish,and vegetable,and the small one I used to cut my fruit. It s what you re looking for. Right out of the box it s sharp as a razor. Comes with a thick leather sheath that was perfect for keeping it clean and secure while camping. The blade will need a little attention as it s not stainless steel so gently oil it after hand washing. Honing won t be frequent but you can strop it after use.

Extremely Sharp with good handle :This is the first chef knife with pakkawood handle that I ve ever had. I looked up online what a pakkawood is before buying this, and pakkawood is handmade that makes for a strong and ultra-durable material. The knife handle looks quite vintage as it seems to be made of "real wood".The pakkawood is more durable but share the same look of real wood. I always focus on the durability of the blade and handle material of a knife as I want my knife can be used for dozens of years.would recommended.

A knife with substance! :I was surprised to receive the knife early in the morning and, 3 days early! It came in a nice box well protected. I must agree with many reviewers that the knife if hefty! It has substance! It feels good in the hand and after washing this morning, I used it to prep items for breakfast! Very nice! Ridiculously sharp! Concerned about the metal strength as the edge seems a bit weak. Very attractive, nice weight and wicked sharp. I recommend this knife to anyone that likes a knife with substance!

Great knives for the price!! I was impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the knives. I was looking for a boning knife and purchased the boning knife and the large butcher knife. The handles are a little small for my hands, but I have large hands, otherwise the handles are very nice and the knives arrived super sharp. Normally, I sharpen knives upon arrival and felt that I was not going to improve on the edge of these knives. I have not used enough to determine how well they hold their edge and what use will do, but upon initial evaluation, these seem to be very good quality and well worth the money.

This blade is made to cleve and chop and has a seamless wedge blade geometry still sharp enough to slice. I think the real leather sheath is bare bones and I dont care for the design but it works.

Beautiful Knife for Precision Cutting :This is a great knife. A fantastic knife. My go to knife. I love it because I can cut my ingredients all the same size. Whether I need brunoise my celery, julienne my carrots or cube my meat, I get the accuracy. The blade is neither too thick or too thin, which I think is key. The knife is light enough that I can prep my ingredients quickly. I also get a good grip on the handle. I think it s a great price for the quality you get.

Really great knife loved it :So far - loving this knife! I am woefully short of sharp knives in my house and we grill meat all summer long. I was pretty excited to try out this meat on some steak. Cut through it just like butter .I ve also used to slice potatoes, which never fails to make my hands exhausted, and dice up herbs. While it s not meant for the finer dicing, I like to put my knives through the all-purpose paces. Definitely a good knife so far.

Gorgeous chef knife : All over the knives is absolutely Gorgeous and cut amazingly. The pictures do not do these knives justice. The steel and handle are so pretty and intricate. You do not even need to put any pressure on the blade for it to smoothly slice through anything. it is simply a gorgeous piece of steel. Well balanced, great handle feed. Surgically sharp. Extremely beautiful and functional but I m kinda disappointed. After a few months the label on the blade is starting to wear off. Other wise I highly recommend it.

Just A Fantastic Knife:I love this chef knife It s razor sharp out of the box. The blade has enough meat on it s bones to be sturdy, but not so much as to feel heavy to use. The handle is gorgeous and ergonomic, though "pakkawood" simply seems to be laminated acrylic impregnated wood I bought as I prefer to have a chefs knife and this one very much fits the bill. I will update later if my impression changes for any reason, but so far I am very happy with this purchase as well as the set I bought.

After unpacking, in principle, it is immediately ready for use.For a small practical test, I cut a handful of tomatoes with a comparatively thick peel. The chef s knife does not afford any weakness here. No Bolster increases efficiency I really like the fact that there is no bolster to this knife. Which increases the efficiency of the entire blade & in regards to future sharpening if necessary. The blade is the heavier point of this knife. Plenty of space is provided between the handle & blade. Finally, it fits well into both my hand & my room mates hand.

Very gorgeous knife! I purchased this as a gift for my mother who s dabbling in baking. She was very happy with it. The packaging it came in looked awesome, too. That knife This is a beautiful knife and it comes in a very nice presentation box with a tip protector. I think pakka wood is some sort of laminated wood but whatever it is, it looks good. I’d never thought of using a bread knife for anything but bread but I’ve used this one on cake and even some large fruit and veggies. Works great.

I have the 7 inch Kitchen Knife. This is a very sharp knife. It has a gentle curve on the blade, so slicing is very easy. It glides through firm items and does a nice job on tomatoes. It has an attractive handle and nice feel to it. I will see how well the blade keeps its edge over time. Also, just received paring knife. Paring knives are not too exciting, but this has an attractive angle like the kitchen knife and a similar, very sharp, blade. I like the handle. It has nice weight and a comfortable feel. I use it almost every day for knife work with any small items.

Sharp knife for its value For the value spent, this knife exceeded my expectations. Delivery came in a week in advance. This knife is very light weight, comfortable handle. The downfall to this knife is the blades are very thin. Therefore, dropping it on the floor can bend the tip. I wish it would come with a knife cover.
