Knife is well made, looks nice and accurate. It is easy to maintain and holds sharpening pretty well. I’ve Zwilling Professional S knifes and it is very competitive for a fraction of a price. As far as utility knife goes, Zwilling has a wider blade. But it is really the almost only way that I can differentiate them. The design, quality, feeling are interchangeable. They hold age about the same time. It is possible that Zwilling is a little harder, at least I’ve to put more pressure honing.2 years ago -

I sometimes have trouble with some knives because I have tendinitis in my wrist. My new favorite chef knife! The weight of the knife will cut through chicken breast. Very sharp, and no imperfections upon initial inspection. Have only used the knife a handful of times but I like it alot. Its a hard metal, and so far so good. Time will tell how this hold up. As long as the knife is hard and you have a good sharpener, you will always have good cuts.5 years ago

Such a beautiful knife...im a chef with 25 years of line experience...Out of the box it s the sharpest knife I ve ever used as far as I can remember. It s a good weight and feels comfortable in the hand as well. I ve julienned about 10 lbs onions and diced about 5 lbs of tomatoes and the egde is still sharp. The ease that it passed though the softest tomatoes was astounding. The blade is thin and delicate so you can make some precise cuts... however it is not intended for rougher tasks like hard mincing of fresh rosemary and thyme spigs, heading whole fish, smashing garlic with the side of blade, or trying to hack at frozen stuff...obviously. picked it up for 20 buck on sale. extremely sharp :Really sharp. I would not advise for your day to day cook. You need some experience in handling cutlery to properly handle this chef knife. I really like it but I would not be comfortable with having inexperienced people use it. I cut my finger just getting it out of the box but that was my fault (I survived). I also would recommend that the non-cutting edges be rounded or protected from incidental cuts. Also, be careful when cleaning as the blade is extremely sharp!. I definately recommend this chef knife for knief lovers.6 years ago

razor sharp and extremely light:I love this blade! The design is superb and the heft and feel of it in my hands is amazing. The knife has a sense of dexterity even though it s a large blade. Came stellar sharp as well I must say the not only is it beautiful to look at, but it is also razor sharp and extremely light. This makes it perfect for heavy prep and continuous use. This knife is weighted well, high quality materials, and good steel. If you purchase it, be ready to sharpen it right away upon opening. Amazing Looking Knife This knife is a thing of beauty. I ordered it for my kitchen although it really looks like it would be best used for camping and outdoor activities. This full tang knife has an attractive wood handle. The blade is thick and heavy. The top of part of the blade is textured which looks amazing. This knife comes with a sheath. Although this knife is sharp, I will sharpen it some more as it s not as sharp as I prefer. Since I ordered this for my kitchen, I m using this knife in my kitchen. I ve used this knife to cut an acorn squash which is a tough task for any knife. The heft of the blade turned out to be helpful in cutting through the thick skin although care was needed because it was not easy to do. The thick blade plus how this knife is balanced was helpful in cutting through the squash s skin. I liked using this knife more than a larger, thinner, and sharper knife I also tried for comparison. My rating is 5 stars because I can t get over how this knife looks and feels in my hand.9 years ago

Purchased this on a whim because I needed a beater knife for when the in-laws or friends visited and needed to cook. For the price it’s a decent knife. The weight is a bit on the light end, especially when compared to my Wusthof chef knife but that blade was 3x the price. The knife came with a good edge out of the box but durability is still to be seen. I’d recommend for someone who just needs an extra “beater” knife or someone who just needs a cheap chef knife to get their knife collection started.9 years ago

Lovely knife. Well worth the purchase : I love this knife. It s razor sharp out of the box. The blade has enough meat on it s bones to be sturdy, but not so much as to feel heavy to use. The handle is gorgeous and ergonomic, though "pakkawood" simply seems to be laminated acrylic impregnated wood very much like the gunstocks that you can buy. I prefer to have a chefs knife and this one very much fits the bill. I will update later if my impression changes for any reason , but so far I am very happy with this purchase as well as the set I bought. The only thing I haven t tested is the longevity of the blade and how it wears with use. This knife in particular will see the most use.9 years ago

Sharp, Quick, and Light: This knife is sharp and cuts easily. Good thing if you’re going to be using it a lot, just don’t cut yourself. It is very quick as well. Also pretty light compared to other knives this size, making it easier to handle. Very satisfied with the product.I use this knife and I am happy with it. That said, i am just an average cook. Good knife and a great gift I got these to use in the kitchen, but my husband grabbed it up and has been using this knife, so there you are. It was nice while I had it, particularly when breaking down something like a chicken for cooking. It was fairly sharp and relatively large. I liked the finger hole to give me leverage, but my husband prefers to use the knife "regularly" without using the finger hole. The handle is comfortable to grip and use and the blade seems pretty sharp although I confess that I expected it to be a little sharper. Overall, I d say it was a very useful knife, well-made, and delivered in a gorgeous box that would make an excellent gift.10 years ago
