Heavy, sharp and versatile. Very heavy knife with excellent construction. It was razor sharp right out of the box and I like the shape for chopping vegetables and mincing herbs. I’m very happy with the value of this knife. I’ve been rubbing it with vegetable oil after every use due to its carbon content just like I would do to a carbon steel wok and there has been no sign of rust whatsoever.2 years ago -

Wow! What a knife! This is my new favorite tool. Out of the box, it was wicked sharp. Immediately washed it, oiled it and put it to work. It s weight makes it a great chopper for meats, but it s razor like blade allows you to cut with finesse. Would definitely buy again. Great bargain!3 years ago

Awesome value Super sharp, full Tang. My knife skills stink, however this knife makes it easy. Comfortable in the hand- well balanced. I have used it on bison, beef, pork, bacon, apples, kiwi, tomatoes,even grapes! You just have to remember to wash & dry it right away. I treat it just like my cast iron, oiling after a wash. Super sharp! This is SUPER sharp right out of the box!I need to explain that I am just a home chef. I do not use professional tools but I do cook a lot for my large family. So maybe a professional chef will have a different opinion, but I think this is awesome. The weight is nice in my hand. The cover is quality. Sharp razor :I purchased this knife for a vacation home that was lacking decent chef knife. I was looking for an inexpensive knife that would have adequate performance. I was not disappointed. The knife is of excellent quality and is very solid. It is razor sharp and holds it’s edge well. This is a great knife at the price point. I have knives far more expensive than this, but this will be the best knife most people have in their kitchen. It is balanced well, sharp out of the box, and it has a full tang leading to a nice weight. I have not sharpened it yet, so more to follow there, I will update my review at that point. Heavy Duty wanted a butcher knife similar to what she uses, this knife met that criteria. When it arrived the first thing I noticed is that it s heavy, it s definitely sharp, and the price was right. The leather holder for it smelled kind of funny so I put it outside for a couple of days and now it s fine. No complaints at all.6 years ago

Worth it This is a really nice knife! Really good quality. When washing it I was reading reviews about rust and it’s not a problem as long as you wash it by hand and not a dish washer and actually dry it off. Amazing knife. Pro material Great knife. It’s become my go-to for separating chickens and cutting root vegetables. I’ve only used it a couple times on other things, but I try to keep my knives separated by task so I can rely on them better. I m completely impressed by this knife. I wasn t sure what to expect because of the modest price but was pleasantly surprised. The knife feels great in the hand and has very good balance. Very good quality and razor sharp right out of the box. I use it as a chef s knife so I m not hacking bones with it but it slices beautifully and easily. I can t speak to how it holds an edge or resharpens because I haven t had to touch it up yet. I don t think it ll be a problem. I do recommend this chef s knife.7 years ago

For this price point, I don’t think you are going to find a more well-balanced and accurate piece of cutlery. Keeps and edge very well, and I really do love it, and am loving this overall! Blade is as sharp as sharp can be. Balance is outstanding. Handle is beauteous. If only it came with the same quality sheath. Nice looking knife. Has a nice balance to it and feels good when I m chopping vegetables. But notice the knife started to chip away after a few months of use. It s become dull quickly after the first week of being used. Can barely cut any meats anymore. Sharpening could help, but hate to see the knife already being chipped.9 years ago

Great wood handle :I very like to cooking the food. So I bought this chef knife instead of last one. This was a good deal.I like the wood handle that made me very comfortable. When I cut the meat from whole lamb with my hands had coveted the animal oil, I could hold it well.I didn t grind it until know. It s sharp now.
