Very sharp knife. Super high quality! I have another Knol knife that I have been using for a long time and it never dulls or rusts. This carbon steel knife is crazy sharp. It is evenly weighted and comfortable to use. The handle is wood and weighty. The blade on this knife is unique looking. The knife can cut through delicate things like tomatoes without squishing them and it can cut through tough things like cuts of meat with ease. It comes in a nice presentation box that you can use to store the knife or give it as a gift. Although I haven t been using this particular knife for very long, I do know that this seller makes quality knives that hold up for ages without even needing sharpening. This one is even sharper than my first one and I think it is higher quality. This is a very, very good and versatile knife.2 years ago

The knife arrived in perfect condition two days ahead of schedule. Factory packaged in blister pack - expect to need scissors to open. Knife construction and materials are top drawer - beautifully made and well balanced. Blade thickness at delrin handle is equal to 2 dimes, thinning towards point to the thickness of a single dime. I expect a lifetime of use with this purchase. Will update if expectations are not met. As noted in pic, knife is constructed in Taiwan from high carbon stainless steel sourced from Germany. Sharp enough to easily shave hair right out of the package.4 years ago

It absolutely needs to be respected... it s a fine edge and should be kept away from bone, heavy chopping, etc. It really shines as a vegetable prep knife, cutting breads and preparing meat cuts so long as you avoid anything like bone. Very nice knife- it’s very sharp but not like unbelievable Sharp. I made some French dip on the smoker - it cut the cooked meat nice and easy- very little effort- but it didn’t slice it lunch meat thin. It slipped on the juicy meat at one point while I was slicing and landed on my finger cutting me. Good news for me that it didn’t slice super deep- but if it was razor sharp it would’ve gone to the bone- I got lucky. Anyway- one bandage later and I enjoyed a great meal. Good product, diverse uses I’ve had this knife for a few weeks, we are very avid cooks. Spent a few months comparing similar items that are twice the cost with similar ratings. It came in very sharp and seems to be holding its edge pretty well; balanced enough for finer item slicing and chopping while being heavy enough to cleave through frozen meats..6 years ago

This blade is super sharp it is heavy and makes using it a dream, I peeled a hand of ginger and the sharpness allowed me to remove just the skin it looks big but that is what you want when chopping or slicing and you can slice thin with this blade. If all of Almazanknives are this good I may be buying the rest of the knives in this line.7 years ago

This knife is very lightweight and easy to use. It come out of of box extremely sharp so be careful. I have a large hand and the handle is a tiny bit small for my liking but it is still very comfortable. We only use it for cutting meats and it has no issues after using it for about two months. The handle is very pretty being a dark black and brown wood. Looks kind of like bocote wood.8 years ago

The quality is excellent for the money.Extremely sharp and excellent for cutting meat. Comes in a great reusable storage box. Made remover pork rind from 50lbs of pork belly so far and still sharp. I ve Bought Five of These This is my go-to kitchen knife and I just leave it out on my Boos Block cutting board. Sure, I use my Shun knives for stuff but this knife is great for almost everything. The first one I bought was for my son who is in culinary school. Then I bought one for myself. Now, when I have someone I cook for they almost say "What a cool knife". So the other 3 have been gifts. Sharp (ouch) We really like this knife. Seriously though it’s pretty sharp and the wife and I have both cut ourselves while slicing bagels (because we hold the bagels like idiots). Put the bagel down Karen and use a cutting board because just one touch cuts your finger open. Oh and the handle fits in well with our other black handles knives.9 years ago

this is an extremely great blade. this blade is extremely hard and will keep the edge for a very long time but the downside is that the blade isnt very tough and is also really thin so it can snap fairly easy. it shouldn t be an issue for those who have at least 3 brain cells. the blade is beautiful and extremely light. And with all the chromium it wont rust. you will have to go out of your way to ruin this blade. extremely high quality for the price and the little case it comes with is really great9 years ago
