Mean and good Its not heavy, well built and cuts like butter. I bought it a while ago, but yesterday I chopped chicken with it myself. I love it. Its a beautiful knife. And it delivers a chop. Amazing knife. Pro material Great knife. It’s become my go-to for separating chickens and cutting root vegetables. I’ve only used it a couple times on other things, but I try to keep my knives separated by task so I can rely on them better. It’s nice because the back of the knife is so tall that often, it stays above what I’m cutting, so it stays nice and clean and easy to control. The sheath is very nice. It fits perfectly in the leather sheath and you can fold the clasp away so you don’t accidentally cut it off.All that said, I love this knife and it is now one of my primary knives for tough root vegetables and butcher work.1 year ago

Just A Fantastic Knife:I love this chef knife It s razor sharp out of the box. The blade has enough meat on it s bones to be sturdy, but not so much as to feel heavy to use. The handle is gorgeous and ergonomic, though "pakkawood" simply seems to be laminated acrylic impregnated wood I bought as I prefer to have a chefs knife and this one very much fits the bill. I will update later if my impression changes for any reason, but so far I am very happy with this purchase as well as the set I bought.2 years ago

Worth Every Star It’s a great bread knife, cutting through my crusty homemade sourdough breads with ease. The blade is very sharp and very rigid, making it easy to control for thin slicing. Much better than expected. This thing, especially for the price, is incredible. It s heavy and sturdy and has kept its edge well after I sharpened it. The 2 things I thought might feel cheap were the handle and the sheath, but those are also really nice. I thought the handle might be cheap plastic, but it feels nice and has slight groove, and so at least looks to be a dark wood. The sheath is stamped leather and is of a nice color.2 years ago

Multi-use knife great for everything It’s a decent heavy knife I love cutting, chopping, and slicing, it does it all sharp blade. It’s great after cutting stuff to scooping veggies onto the knife and taking them straight to the pan. I’ve noticed myself cutting better, thinner, straighter, with less effort out of my hand and more of the knife doing the work. The sheath is very nice I wouldn’t say it’s the best but built well and has thicker edges to fit the blade. The knife cleans up real easy stuff do not stick to it. Overall pretty damn good knife originally I got this as a camping and hunting knife, an all-in-one knife As I would best describe it. but know I’m using it every day in the kitchen and will probably get a second one so I don’t forget it2 years ago

This knife is sharp! I didn’t touch it up at all and it glides through food. I bought a separate guard for it to keep the edge safe in our drawer. The fit and finish is perfect. There are no gaps around the scales, the rivets are ground smooth and flush, the spine of the blade is slightly rounded and smooth. Been using it for a month and it’s still sharp. I’m very impressed coming from a Giada chef knife I’ve been using for the last 10 years that needed frequent sharpening/touch ups.3 years ago

Incredible Sharp chef knife: Sharp, looks great, and fancy in the package! I love the handle .I must say the not only is it beautiful to look at, but it is also razor sharp and extremely light. This makes it perfect for heavy prep and continuous use. Very fast delivery. Great quality for the price. Sharp and very heavy duty. This thing is a beast! Very thick,sturdy, sharp blade. This blade is made to cleve and chop and has a seamless wedge blade geometry still sharp enough to slice. Lifetime Investment, well worth the price This knife has everything I hoped for to replace my ten year old cheap grocery store bread knife. In addition to being dishwasher safe, it has a much sturdier blade. This helps in two ways: first, it won t flex during use, which makes it safer. It came in a nice box with a magnetic snap-lock strip on it, and was packed well. I have been "building" up my knife set instead of using my set and really love the quality of this knife. It is very high quality and the edge holds up very well. I use the honing steel on the knife before every use and after about 10 uses it is as sharp as the day I opened it. The wood handle looks very nice. The handle is comfortable in the hand and the whole knife is perfectly balanced. The range of knives made by Global is extensive. High Quaility chef knife : I am respectful of it s sharp edge and handle it carefully. It is heavy so be careful not to drop it. This is an old and respected brand and I can say that I am very pleased with it. Really great knife loved it :So far - loving this knife! I am woefully short of sharp knives in my house and we grill meat all summer long. I was pretty excited to try out this meat on some steak. Cut through it just like butter .I ve also used to slice potatoes, which never fails to make my hands exhausted, and dice up herbs.
