Great Knife for the $$$ Very happy with this purchase. The knife is light weight, very sharp out-of-the-box and easy to handle. For the price the quality is outstanding. It is also well balanced. I sometimes have trouble with some knives because I have tendinitis in my wrist. Great everday knife for kitchen I ve used this knife on multiple items so far. It cut raw chicken & meats very easily for me. There was no sawing required like some of my other knives. The size is perfect to make it a versatile tool in the kitchen. The knife is hand washed and dried. I have had no issues with this knife and it seems like it will be a sturdy knife for everyday use. Sharp, Beautiful Design : I am so glad that I decided to invest on this chef knife. Price wise, it is a bit more than what I have used before. However, the moment that I took the knife out of the box, I know that it is well worth it. It is beautifully designed and feels super comfortable in hand. I tried to cut fruits, vegetables and meat. It is well balanced, the weight is light but the blade is super sharp. It cuts everything effortlessly, much better than any one that I had before. Amazing Knife The knife itself is amazing and works great. It is sharp and cuts through food as well as I had hoped it would. An amazing blade that can do just about everything. It has the finesse of a chef s knife. In no way does this knife replace every knife in the kitchen but with the amazing leather sheath mean you can take this and only this in the back country and do everything from dress an animal to cut veggies to cook with it. I have had two of these knives (for 2 and 3 years in two different kitchens). They are the most useful knives I have ever owned. They re sharp, and they stay sharp. The wood handle is really attractive and has stayed new-looking despite a lot of use and cleaning. This and a bread knife are all I need. It s got a good heft for chopping, and its large size is perfect for this as well. I don t see any reason to pay more or buy a different knife. A great purchase.3 years ago

High quality product :This was super sharp out of box. We’ve had it about two months now and it’s holding up very well to near daily use. It still cuts veggies like a hot knife through butter. . Quality for price is very high - just great all around value that is fantastic for everyday use.Nice knife! Excellent sharpness ;At first I only bought these because of the look in aesthetics but while further using the nice in the kitchen they were sharp right out of the box and continue to be durable after daily use in the kitchen about 10 hours a day using their nurses so far handles very comfortable the aesthetics are amazing continue to look forward to using them3 years ago

These knives hold their edges very well assuming you re not abusing the knives or keeping them knocking around in a drawer. I love the weight of these vs a transitional full bolstered Wusthof. You get EXACTLY the same quality steel as the high end Germans, with the slightly lighter (and better in my opinion) balance of Japanese blades. The added bonus is the chef knife comes with a rounded spine, which is super comfy if you use a pinch grip (as you should). An additional plug for the boning knife too. I was shocked at how nice this chef s knife is based on it s cost. It is perfectly balanced, the handle is made of a luxurious and finely finished wood that is beautiful and it cuts like a champ. I have owned much more expensive knives that were not as balanced in the hand, not as well finished and didn t come with a beautiful handle. I would recommend this to anyone on a budget who appreciates quality. Beats the low end JA Henckels and Whustoffs by a mile. I don t know how they produce such a nice piece for so little money. Sharp and stylish knife This knife came in very beautiful packaging along with a leather sleeve to keep it safe while you are not using it. The knife is really of great quality and the sleeve looks very expensive too. I purchased this knife primarily to use for cutting thicker pieces of meat and it really makes life easier. It has this sharpness and enough weight to slide through the peace of very thick meat without putting much effort into it. Great quality knife for a great price. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and sturdiness of this knife. This knife was recommended by a chef friend, that has had his over a year and said it only needs minor touch ups on the edge every now and then. So far I love this thing. Overall I am very happy with my Chef Knife! I have to say that I am not a great cook but I need to use it everyday for housecook, which is certainly demanding, so in my experience I can say that the knife is really well balanced, it is a fancy knife, coming in an amazing box and looking very beautiful! Then, right out of the box it is incredibly sharp and it has been like this for the time I have had it! I mainly use it to cut vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc, and of course meat and chicken (no bones). A knife with substance! :I was surprised to receive the knife early in the morning and, 3 days early! It came in a nice box well protected. I must agree with many reviewers that the knife if hefty! It has substance! It feels good in the hand and after washing this morning, I used it to prep items for breakfast! Very nice! Ridiculously sharp! Extremely Sharp with good handle:This is the first chef knife with pakkawood handle that I ve ever had. I looked up online what a pakkawood is before buying this, and pakkawood is handmade that makes for a strong and ultra-durable material. The knife handle looks quite vintage as it seems to be made of "real wood".The pakkawood is more durable but share the same look of real wood. I always focus on the durability of the blade and handle material of a knife as I want my knife can be used for dozens of years.would recommended.6 years ago

No Bolster increases efficiency I really like the fact that there is no bolster to this knife. Which increases the efficiency of the entire blade & in regards to future sharpening if necessary. The blade is the heavier point of this knife. Plenty of space is provided between the handle & blade. Finally, it fits well into both my hand & my room mates hand.7 years ago

Lifetime Investment, well worth the price This knife has everything I hoped for to replace my ten year old cheap knife. In addition to being dishwasher safe, it has a much sturdier blade. This helps in two ways: first, it won t flex during use, which makes it safer. Second, having more metal on the blade means that it will be worth the price of a professional sharpening when the time arises. In actual use it is noticeably easier to use than my old knife, even disregarding how dull the old knife was. The weight of the blade means I can create much more consistent and thinner slices without any additional effort. It has a nice high carbon steel blade, which means that it will last for many years before it requires any service. This is an excellent purchase for the price.7 years ago
