Sharp razor :I purchased this knife for a vacation home that was lacking decent chef knife. I was looking for an inexpensive knife that would have adequate performance. I was not disappointed. The knife is of excellent quality and is very solid. It is razor sharp and holds it’s edge well. I have a few expensive Chef s knives that I have collected over the past 50 years. Some of them cost close to $100 each. They are great, but have to be sharpened frequently. I was given this knife as a birthday present, and loved it so much I bought one for my sister. I have had my knife for about 11 months, and I have not had the need to use a steel to realign the molecules, nor have I had to sharpen it. This is one amazing knife. Just A Fantastic Knife :I m a very senior home cook and have owned most all brand name knifes over the years but this knife is the best i ve ever owned. Not only is it attractive and well balanced it cuts thru almost anything like soft butter. Have only had it for four months now but so far it s like brand new. Will update this review in the future if anything changes but right now I highly recommend it. Great everday knife for kitchen I ve used this knife on multiple items so far. It cut raw chicken & meats very easily for me. There was no sawing required like some of my other knives. The size is perfect to make it a versatile tool in the kitchen. The knife is hand washed and dried. I have had no issues with this knife and it seems like it will be a sturdy knife for everyday use. I m completely impressed by this knife. I wasn t sure what to expect because of the modest price but was pleasantly surprised. The knife feels great in the hand and has very good balance. Very good quality and razor sharp right out of the box. I use it as a chef s knife so I m not hacking bones with it but it slices beautifully and easily. I can t speak to how it holds an edge or resharpens because I haven t had to touch it up yet. I don t think it ll be a problem. I do recommend this chef s knife.4 years ago

Really nice knife : This is the chef knife that I ordered. Being a professionally trained chef, I am finicky about my knives. For this price point, I don’t think you are going to find a more well-balanced and accurate piece of cutlery. Keeps and edge very well, and I really do love it, and am loving this overall! Blade is as sharp as sharp can be. Balance is outstanding. Handle is beauteous. If only it came with the same quality sheath. I ve Bought Five of These This is my go-to kitchen knife and I just leave it out on my Boos Block cutting board. Sure, I use my Shun knives for stuff but this knife is great for almost everything. The first one I bought was for my son who is in culinary school. Then I bought one for myself. Now, when I have someone I cook for they almost say "What a cool knife". So the other 3 have been gifts. It has a really good weight and it is thick. The handle is wood and feels nice in your hand. I have several knives in the kitchen, but I wanted something that could take brutal force. This knife is one of my favorites now. It comes with a sheath, I honestly haven t used it yet. I just hang it on the magnetic strip. I like this knife so well I have used it to spread butter and jam. Very Heavy Duty Knife! This is a very heavy-duty knife! The blade has a good depth and thickness. The length is very nice, and allows me to cut odd shaped loaves, such as a round loaf of sourdough bread. The serrated blade cuts well. The grip is large enough to fit well into a large hand such as mine and feels solid. It is not one of those cheaply-made hollow handle knives. Excellent Multi-Purpose Clever Primary uses for the item are butchery of meat. Also, extremely handy all-purpose chopper, any chef who knows their way around a kitchen or product in question will know that this heavy blade has a myriad of uses. The sheath is also a nice touch, so it can also be serviced as an outdoor/bbq/meal prep clever. The edge is holding up fine, however, I would say this would require a grinder to effectively sharpen. :D6 years ago

I have never used a knife that slides through everything with such ease. I went to slice open the plastic packaging for the sausages I was cooking, and I thought I had missed the plastic - it was that smooth. I barely had to apply any pressure when slicing up the sausages. Cutting up the carrots, cauliflower, and apples was amazingly easy, as well. A perfect knife :This chef knife is fantastic. It was razor sharp out of the box and seems to be holding up great. I always hand wash and dry immediately, so it never has the chance to rust or discolor. That knife This is a beautiful knife and it comes in a very nice presentation box with a tip protector. I think pakka wood is some sort of laminated wood but whatever it is, it looks good. I’d never thought of using a bread knife for anything but bread but I’ve used this one on cake and even some large fruit and veggies. Works great.7 years ago

Fantastic for the price Fantastic knife! Good weight. Nice handling. Very sharp and keeps a good edge so far. I have not honed or sharpened it yet. I keep a brush with oil on hand to lightly brush it with oil to keep it from rusting. Sure to last as far as I can see. It s leather sheath is very durable. The only small problem with the sheath is that the knife catches a bit on the snap that it has when drawing it. So far the best cleaver I have used. Well worth every penny.
