The knife arrived in perfect condition two days ahead of schedule. Factory packaged in blister pack - expect to need scissors to open. Knife construction and materials are top drawer - beautifully made and well balanced. Blade thickness at delrin handle is equal to 2 dimes, thinning towards point to the thickness of a single dime. I expect a lifetime of use with this purchase. Will update if expectations are not met. As noted in pic, knife is constructed in Taiwan from high carbon stainless steel sourced from Germany. Excellent Knife :Takes very little effort to keep this knife shaving sharp. It absolutely needs to be respected... it s a fine edge and should be kept away from bone, heavy chopping, etc. It really shines as a vegetable prep knife, cutting breads and preparing meat cuts so long as you avoid anything like bone. Purchased this on a whim because I needed a beater knife for when the in-laws or friends visited and needed to cook. For the price it’s a decent knife. The weight is a bit on the light end, especially when compared to my Wusthof chef knife but that blade was 3x the price. The knife came with a good edge out of the box but durability is still to be seen. I’d recommend for someone who just needs an extra “beater” knife or someone who just needs a cheap chef knife to get their knife collection started.3 years ago

Lovely knife. Well worth the purchase : I love this knife. It s razor sharp out of the box. The blade has enough meat on it s bones to be sturdy, but not so much as to feel heavy to use. The handle is gorgeous and ergonomic, though "pakkawood" simply seems to be laminated acrylic impregnated wood very much like the gunstocks that you can buy. I prefer to have a chefs knife and this one very much fits the bill. I will update later if my impression changes for any reason , but so far I am very happy with this purchase as well as the set I bought. The only thing I haven t tested is the longevity of the blade and how it wears with use. This knife in particular will see the most use.3 years ago

Sharp, Quick, and Light: This knife is sharp and cuts easily. Good thing if you’re going to be using it a lot, just don’t cut yourself. It is very quick as well. Also pretty light compared to other knives this size, making it easier to handle. Very satisfied with the product.I use this knife and I am happy with it. That said, i am just an average cook. Lifetime Investment, well worth the price This knife has everything I hoped for to replace my ten year old cheap knife. In addition to being dishwasher safe, it has a much sturdier blade. This helps in two ways: first, it won t flex during use, which makes it safer. Second, having more metal on the blade means that it will be worth the price of a professional sharpening when the time arises. In actual use it is noticeably easier to use than my old knife, even disregarding how dull the old knife was. The weight of the blade means I can create much more consistent and thinner slices without any additional effort. It has a nice high carbon steel blade, which means that it will last for many years before it requires any service. This is an excellent purchase for the price.4 years ago

This knife is very lightweight and easy to use. It come out of of box extremely sharp so be careful. I have a large hand and the handle is a tiny bit small for my liking but it is still very comfortable. We only use it for cutting meats and it has no issues after using it for about two months. The handle is very pretty being a dark black and brown wood. Looks kind of like bocote wood.4 years ago

The quality is excellent for the money.Extremely sharp and excellent for cutting meat. Comes in a great reusable storage box. Made remover pork rind from 50lbs of pork belly so far and still sharp. Great everday knife for kitchen I ve used this knife on multiple items so far. It cut raw chicken & meats very easily for me. There was no sawing required like some of my other knives. The size is perfect to make it a versatile tool in the kitchen. The knife is hand washed and dried. I have had no issues with this knife and it seems like it will be a sturdy knife for everyday use. Awesome knife This knife comes in a very nice box if you want to give it as a gift. It s a very long knife and could nearly slice a loaf lengthwise.It s very sharp so may be really good for slicing meat, My only issue is that it is so sharp that I m afraid to store it in a drawer without a case, so I will store it in the box, I don t want to reach in and slice my hand. Super knife at this price :Nice grip, easy to hold even when wet. Makes tasks such as mashing garlic with the side of the blade much more convenient. Holds an edge better than any other knives I ve owned. It sliced tomatoes like butter and I felt very confident with the movement. I love to cook and have been dealing with dull, cheap knives for years, until my son told me about this knife. It has truly been life changing! I cook from scratch almost every day, and this is super sharp and comfortable, and cuts through hard items like raw sweet potatoes and squash with ease, makes fine dicing of onions super easy, makes trimming raw meat quick and easy - it is a true time saver! Just a head s up - it is really very sharp, and so even though it warns you of that on the packaging, the first thing I did right out of the gate was cut myself with it when I attempted to de-seed a pepper in my hand like I normally would have with one of my old, dull knives haha. It was just a minor paper cut type slice thank goodness, but yeah it really does work! It says not to put in the dishwasher, but one time a family member did put it in the dishwasher with no apparent ill effects. Probably not good to do on a regular basis though.6 years ago

Can t say enough good things about it. Easily the best knife I own(and the cheapest). I had reservations when I ordered it. But the moment I used it, it was nothing but pure satisfaction. This as a gift for me and I love it! My husband ordered this as a Christmas gift for me and I love it! I’ve had it for roughly five months and it is still my go to and still super sharp. It comes extremely sharp so I would be very careful especially if your inexperienced with knives since it does not hesitate. Excellent Multi-Purpose Clever Primary uses for the item are butchery of meat. Also, extremely handy all-purpose chopper, any chef who knows their way around a kitchen or product in question will know that this heavy blade has a myriad of uses. The sheath is also a nice touch, so it can also be serviced as an outdoor/bbq/meal prep clever.
