Now that s a Knife!!! I purchased this knife for my son, who loves expensive cutlery. He was so excited to try this cleaver, that he ran and threw meat on the grill just so he could have a reason to test it! This blade did not disappoint! It is fantastic, comes with its own protective sleeve and makes a really nice gift!

Much better than expected. This thing, especially for the price, is incredible. It s heavy and sturdy and has kept its edge well after I sharpened it. The 2 things I thought might feel cheap were the handle and the sheath, but those are also really nice. I thought the handle might be cheap plastic, but it feels nice and has slight groove, and so at least looks to be a dark wood. The sheath is stamped leather and is of a nice color.

Even after cutting coconut shells it stays sharp I wanted a good butcher knife. I thought if this is not good quality I could use it for cutting coconuts. I need to cut coconut for scrapping the coconut. People who do it understand what is all this about. It is a good knife for cutting chicken with bone. I have not tried other meat varieties so far. Anyway we wanted to try it cutting coconut shells. I thought it will lose its sharpness but it is good without any problems. using it for last one week.

Great knife! I think it’s awesome! Very sharp and I really like how the blade is thick at the top then gets narrow on the blade edge. I used it on a semi-frozen chuck roast and it sliced like butter! But...understand that it’s a high carbon steel not stainless. It’s considerably more brittle than stainless because it’s harder.

This knife is an excellent survival knife, hunting knife, and even a hand to hand combat knife if needed to be used as such. Love the look and feel of this knife.

This helps in two ways: first, it won t flex during use, which makes it safer. In actual use it is noticeably easier to use than my old knife, even disregarding how dull the old knife was. Fantastic for the price Fantastic knife! Good weight. Nice handling. Very sharp and keeps a good edge so far. I have not honed or sharpened it yet. I keep a brush with oil on hand to lightly brush it with oil to keep it from rusting. Sure to last as far as I can see. It s leather sheath is very durable. The only small problem with the sheath is that the knife catches a bit on the snap that it has when drawing it. So far the best cleaver I have used. Well worth every penny. It is not warped and has not cracked as shown in other reviews.

Seriously a GREAT Knife! his knife with its weight distribution, solid handle and ease of handling can cut through so many things as though they were butter. I have used it extensively on slightly still frozen meats that again to my amazement slices right through them. I can then marinate the meat pieces while still slightly frozen. When cutting veggies and fruit the super breadth of the knife makes for ease of scooping and transferring either to your bowl or into the wok, pan or whatever you are using. Incredible value! Its also a "handsome" knife and seriously performs better than advertised!

Multi-use knife great for everything It’s a decent heavy knife I love cutting, chopping, and slicing, it does it all sharp blade. It’s great after cutting stuff to scooping veggies onto the knife and taking them straight to the pan. I’ve noticed myself cutting better, thinner, straighter, with less effort out of my hand and more of the knife doing the work. The sheath is very nice I wouldn’t say it’s the best but built well and has thicker edges to fit the blade. The knife cleans up real easy stuff do not stick to it. Overall pretty damn good knife originally I got this as a camping and hunting knife, an all-in-one knife As I would best describe it. but know I’m using it every day in the kitchen and will probably get a second one so I don’t forget it

This knife was factory sharp out of the box. I was mincing some ginger amateurishly and ended up mincing a quarter inch of my fingertip off. 10/10 would buy this knife again because of how easy it was to mince. If you re an amateur like me, I highly recommend buying some cut-resistant gloves to practice with. $20 worth of gloves is far more valuable than losing a finger tip. On the note you do lose your fingertip, I recommend buying some hemostat gauze pads (stops the bleeding), tissue adhesive (keeps the fingertip-less finger protected), and a finger gauze wrap (hide your unsightly finger) to avoid a trip to the ER. If you can t deal with throbbing pain, some ibuprofen can also help. One person found this helpful

Very nice knife- it’s very sharp but not like unbelievable Sharp. I made some French dip on the smoker - it cut the cooked meat nice and easy- very little effort- but it didn’t slice it lunch meat thin. It slipped on the juicy meat at one point while I was slicing and landed on my finger cutting me. Good news for me that it didn’t slice super deep- but if it was razor sharp it would’ve gone to the bone- I got lucky. Anyway- one bandage later and I enjoyed a great meal. I would buy this again no question.

These knives hold their edges very well assuming you re not abusing the knives or keeping them knocking around in a drawer. I love the weight of these vs a transitional full bolstered Wusthof. You get EXACTLY the same quality steel as the high end Germans, with the slightly lighter (and better in my opinion) balance of Japanese blades. The added bonus is the chef knife comes with a rounded spine, which is super comfy if you use a pinch grip (as you should). An additional plug for the boning knife too. It s a sheer joy to use and I ve broken down whole ribeyes, briskets, and many a fowl with it. Again, LOVE THESE KNIVES. Top quality for a fraction of the price.

Man! I am consistently blown away by their products!!! The quality is matchless and for the price, the value is incredible!!! I love the feel of this knife in my hands, it’s wonderful to carve with. Some knives can hurt after you cut consistently with them and are not ergonomically designed for comfort. The blade is beautiful and easy to sharpen although I didn’t need to sharpen it for a while! I really can’t say enough great things about this knife and I’m a happy buyer!

This knife is very lightweight and easy to use. It come out of of box extremely sharp so be careful. I have a large hand and the handle is a tiny bit small for my liking but it is still very comfortable. We only use it for cutting meats and it has no issues after using it for about two months. The handle is very pretty being a dark black and brown wood. Looks kind of like bocote wood.

Very nice cook knife. The material is premium, very sharp knife. I have used this knife for a couple days, I cut super thin beef, used it for hard carrots, onions, it all works well. It’s not heavy in weight, the handle is comfortable. As far as durability and maintenance of the sharp blade, we’ll have to see. So far, it’s the best chef’s knife I’ve used in this price level.

Overall this knife is not bad for the price. It does come in a nice gift box.. It is definitely sharp at first, but after a couple weeks of use, I had to sharpen it. Ever since then I sharpen pretty often. Also, the tip is very thin. Mine chipped after weeks of use. With that said, it’s not not a bad knife! But it’s not a chefs knife. If you’re looking for a professional knife that will last, I would look elsewhere.

They were shinny. I like that they have weight to them with a great balance I can grip it with confidence. Because each blade is one piece all the way threw. Sharp as shit and they instantly demand respect. I didn t pay an arm and leg for them but I got something that I know will last a good while. Maybe years.so long as I take care of them properly.

Super sharp I was skeptical because of the price but I was wrong. Chefs knife can cut everything with it its so sharp goes thru everything so smooth. Do not use gor meats with bones will get chips and dings. But for that is imaraku cleaver no issues this this is a beast bones frozen meat anything you throw at it gets chopped.

Great for slicing sourdough So I have a huge bread/cake knife I think the blade is about 15inches. I made the mistake of using that to cut into a fresh sourdough loaf. The knife was way to long, slipped on the delicious crust and I cut myself pretty bad. It was then I realized that I needed a smaller and sturdier knife for bread and my other knife has been relegated to cutting cakes.

sharp knife in professional quality: The knife sits very well in the hand, on the one hand by the shape and on the other by the grippy surface structure of the wood.It cuts very well and easily through everything I ve tested so far. For tomatoes it is perfect. The serrated blade runs right through the tomato. With peppers, you almost did not feel any resistance, but just “moved” the knife. With some vegetables (e.g. cauliflower), which I usually cut with my large twin knife, I found it very convenient that with its very sharp tip could be pierced and then cut slightly further. Since it was not a very large cauliflower, the blade length was enough for it.I will use it for some uses more than those for which such a serrated knife is often only used, as it has a convenient size, a suitable weight and a very comfortable position in the hand.

Just threw a brisket on the grill and had to slice off a lot of fat. The Japanese steel cut thru like butter. I’m using the santoku now and the cleaver to chop it up later. Such an amazing and beautiful product!
