I wish I had it 20 years ago .. WOW This is the REAL THING. Sharpens to super sharp and STAYS sharp for a very long time. Right wight helps chop things with ease. You will forget regular knives forever. Be careful though .. its extremely sharp .. spend some time with it to get used to the new ways. The leather case gives a crude and robust look. Even after cutting coconut shells it stays sharp I wanted a good butcher knife. I thought if this is not good quality I could use it for cutting coconuts. I need to cut coconut for scrapping the coconut. People who do it understand what is all this about. It is a good knife for cutting chicken with bone. I have not tried other meat varieties so far. Super sharp I was skeptical because of the price but I was wrong. Chefs knife can cut everything with it its so sharp goes thru everything so smooth. sharp knife in professional quality: The knife sits very well in the hand, on the one hand by the shape and on the other by the grippy surface structure of the wood.It cuts very well and easily through everything I ve tested so far. For tomatoes it is perfect. The serrated blade runs right through the tomato. With peppers, you almost did not feel any resistance, but just “moved” the knife. With some vegetables (e.g. cauliflower), which I usually cut with my large twin knife, I found it very convenient that with its very sharp tip could be pierced and then cut slightly further. Since it was not a very large cauliflower, the blade length was enough for it.I will use it for some uses more than those for which such a serrated knife is often only used, as it has a convenient size, a suitable weight and a very comfortable position in the hand.4 years ago

Seriously a GREAT Knife! I have used it extensively on slightly still frozen meats that again to my amazement slices right through them. I can then marinate the meat pieces while still slightly frozen. When cutting veggies and fruit the super breadth of the knife makes for ease of scooping and transferring either to your bowl or into the wok, pan or whatever you are using. Incredible value! Superior knife, quality far beyond its price. This thing is a beast. I am no professional chef, but I am a longtime woodsman and Bushcrafter. I have taken this on a couple of trips, and it has evolved into my go-to knife. I simply love that it can do very well at the butcher block, but yesterday hold up to the random needs I may have in the bush. Why carry two knives? Very nice knife- it’s very sharp but not like unbelievable Sharp. I made some French dip on the smoker - it cut the cooked meat nice and easy- very little effort- but it didn’t slice it lunch meat thin. It slipped on the juicy meat at one point while I was slicing and landed on my finger cutting me. Good news for me that it didn’t slice super deep- but if it was razor sharp it would’ve gone to the bone- I got lucky. Anyway- one bandage later and I enjoyed a great meal. Been looking for knives to replace some old, full tang, wooden handle knives that were sharpened so much, they were super thin and the edge was destroyed. I tried many cheaper knives and was super disappointed, whether steel or ceramic. I tried this chef knife based upon reviews and reduced price at the time. These knives have great balance with full tang. Solid delrin handle is sturdy and fits my hand well. Knives arrived very sharp and seem to be maintaining their edge just fine. An amazing blade that can do just about everything. I must say this is a great knife! The full tang and heavy spine gives it the cutting power of a full butcher knife. Its heavy but balanced which plays well when you need intricate cuts. The curve of the spine to the point gives it the finesse of a chefs knife. In no way does this knife replace every knife in the kitchen but with the amazing leather sheath mean you can take this and only this in the back country and do everything from dress an animal to cut veggies to cook with it.
