Fantastic for the price Fantastic knife! Good weight. Nice handling. Very sharp and keeps a good edge so far. I have not honed or sharpened it yet. I keep a brush with oil on hand to lightly brush it with oil to keep it from rusting. Sure to last as far as I can see. It s leather sheath is very durable. The only small problem with the sheath is that the knife catches a bit on the snap that it has when drawing it. So far the best cleaver I have used. Well worth every penny. This knife was factory sharp out of the box. I was mincing some ginger amateurishly and ended up mincing a quarter inch of my fingertip off. 10/10 would buy this knife again because of how easy it was to mince. If you re an amateur like me, I highly recommend buying some cut-resistant gloves to practice with. $20 worth of gloves is far more valuable than losing a finger tip. On the note you do lose your fingertip, I recommend buying some hemostat gauze pads (stops the bleeding), tissue adhesive (keeps the fingertip-less finger protected), and a finger gauze wrap (hide your unsightly finger) to avoid a trip to the ER. If you can t deal with throbbing pain, some ibuprofen can also help. One person found this helpful4 years ago

Overall this knife is not bad for the price. It does come in a nice gift box.. It is definitely sharp at first, but after a couple weeks of use, I had to sharpen it. Ever since then I sharpen pretty often. Also, the tip is very thin. Mine chipped after weeks of use. With that said, it’s not not a bad knife! But it’s not a chefs knife. Beautiful and super sharp This knife is great. It looks beautiful and I can 100% confirm is hella sharp. I was able to test this theory in less than 10 minutes by almost slicing half of my finger off while cutting an onion. This is the best chef knife I ve ever owned. The handle has a lovely weight to it and the balance is perfect.And I want to say the packaging is superb and really makes this knife feel like something special.7 years ago

The great knife I love it This is a very nice knife for the price. Felt good in my hand with a nice balance to it. Very sharp and well made. I have some very expensive knives that my son who is a chef has purchased for me and this one handles and cuts just as well. I would defiantly recommend it.7 years ago

Just what I needed. This is a great knife. First task out of the box was to split an oven roaster chicken. Did this with ease. The knife has a nice weight (and razor edge) and when right through the chicken bones. The very next task was to finely chop fresh herbs for said chicken...again excellent control. The handle is well attached and the black patina from the heat treatment gives the knife an old world look. My family raises and butchers chicken and beef. This knife will get a workout. My new favorite chef knife! The weight of the knife will cut through chicken breast. Very sharp, and no imperfections upon initial inspection. Have only used the knife a handful of times but I like it alot. Its a hard metal, and so far so good. Time will tell how this hold up. As long as the knife is hard and you have a good sharpener, you will always have good cuts.7 years ago

Great Buy! I was really surprised at the quality of this knife. I expected something cheaply mass produced to look hand made, but this knife actually is made to last! I would recommend buying this knife! If it doesn’t work out it can always be returned however, I don’t think you will want to return it.7 years ago
