Amazing Looking Knife This knife is a thing of beauty. I ordered it for my kitchen although it really looks like it would be best used for camping and outdoor activities. This full tang knife has an attractive wood handle. The blade is thick and heavy. The top of part of the blade is textured which looks amazing. This knife comes with a sheath. Although this knife is sharp, I will sharpen it some more as it s not as sharp as I prefer. Since I ordered this for my kitchen, I m using this knife in my kitchen. I ve used this knife to cut an acorn squash which is a tough task for any knife. The heft of the blade turned out to be helpful in cutting through the thick skin although care was needed because it was not easy to do. The thick blade plus how this knife is balanced was helpful in cutting through the squash s skin. I liked using this knife more than a larger, thinner, and sharper knife I also tried for comparison. Purchased this on a whim because I needed a beater knife for when the in-laws or friends visited and needed to cook. For the price it’s a decent knife. The weight is a bit on the light end, especially when compared to my Wusthof chef knife but that blade was 3x the price. The knife came with a good edge out of the box but durability is still to be seen. I’d recommend for someone who just needs an extra “beater” knife or someone who just needs a cheap chef knife to get their knife collection started.2 years ago

Lovely knife. Well worth the purchase : I love this knife. It s razor sharp out of the box. The blade has enough meat on it s bones to be sturdy, but not so much as to feel heavy to use. The handle is gorgeous and ergonomic, though "pakkawood" simply seems to be laminated acrylic impregnated wood very much like the gunstocks that you can buy. I prefer to have a chefs knife and this one very much fits the bill. I will update later if my impression changes for any reason , but so far I am very happy with this purchase as well as the set I bought. Good knife and a great gift I got these to use in the kitchen, but my husband grabbed it up and has been using this knife, so there you are. It was nice while I had it, particularly when breaking down something like a chicken for cooking. It was fairly sharp and relatively large. I liked the finger hole to give me leverage, but my husband prefers to use the knife "regularly" without using the finger hole. The handle is comfortable to grip and use and the blade seems pretty sharp although I confess that I expected it to be a little sharper. It absolutely needs to be respected... it s a fine edge and should be kept away from bone, heavy chopping, etc. It really shines as a vegetable prep knife, cutting breads and preparing meat cuts so long as you avoid anything like bone. Seriously a GREAT Knife! his knife with its weight distribution, solid handle and ease of handling can cut through so many things as though they were butter. I have used it extensively on slightly still frozen meats that again to my amazement slices right through them. I can then marinate the meat pieces while still slightly frozen. When cutting veggies and fruit the super breadth of the knife makes for ease of scooping and transferring either to your bowl or into the wok, pan or whatever you are using. Incredible value! Very nice knife- it’s very sharp but not like unbelievable Sharp. I made some French dip on the smoker - it cut the cooked meat nice and easy- very little effort- but it didn’t slice it lunch meat thin. It slipped on the juicy meat at one point while I was slicing and landed on my finger cutting me. Good news for me that it didn’t slice super deep- but if it was razor sharp it would’ve gone to the bone- I got lucky. Anyway- one bandage later and I enjoyed a great meal. This blade is super sharp it is heavy and makes using it a dream, I peeled a hand of ginger and the sharpness allowed me to remove just the skin it looks big but that is what you want when chopping or slicing and you can slice thin with this blade. This knife is very lightweight and easy to use. It come out of of box extremely sharp so be careful. I have a large hand and the handle is a tiny bit small for my liking but it is still very comfortable. We only use it for cutting meats and it has no issues after using it for about two months. sharp knife in professional quality: The knife sits very well in the hand, on the one hand by the shape and on the other by the grippy surface structure of the wood.It cuts very well and easily through everything I ve tested so far. For tomatoes it is perfect. The serrated blade runs right through the tomato. With peppers, you almost did not feel any resistance, but just “moved” the knife. With some vegetables (e.g. cauliflower), which I usually cut with my large twin knife, I found it very convenient that with its very sharp tip could be pierced and then cut slightly further. Since it was not a very large cauliflower, the blade length was enough for it.I will use it for some uses more than those for which such a serrated knife is often only used, as it has a convenient size, a suitable weight and a very comfortable position in the hand.6 years ago

I ve Bought Five of These This is my go-to kitchen knife and I just leave it out on my Boos Block cutting board. Sure, I use my Shun knives for stuff but this knife is great for almost everything. this is an extremely great blade. this blade is extremely hard and will keep the edge for a very long time but the downside is that the blade isnt very tough and is also really thin so it can snap fairly easy. it shouldn t be an issue for those who have at least 3 brain cells. the blade is beautiful and extremely light. Amazing knife. Pro material Great knife. It’s become my go-to for separating chickens and cutting root vegetables. I’ve only used it a couple times on other things, but I try to keep my knives separated by task so I can rely on them better. It’s nice because the back of the knife is so tall that often, it stays above what I’m cutting, so it stays nice and clean and easy to control. The sheath is very nice. It fits perfectly in the leather sheath and you can fold the clasp away so you don’t accidentally cut it off.All that said, I love this knife and it is now one of my primary knives for tough root vegetables and butcher work.7 years ago
