Great knives for the price!! I was impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the knives. I was looking for a boning knife and purchased the boning knife and the large butcher knife. The handles are a little small for my hands, but I have large hands, otherwise the handles are very nice and the knives arrived super sharp. Normally, I sharpen knives upon arrival and felt that I was not going to improve on the edge of these knives. I have not used enough to determine how well they hold their edge and what use will do, but upon initial evaluation, these seem to be very good quality and well worth the money.

Solid and well built knife - love this thing Just got this knife and can t stop using it. Comes nicely sharpened and with great balance. Great knife! I think it’s awesome! Very sharp and I really like how the blade is thick at the top then gets narrow on the blade edge. I used it on a semi-frozen chuck roast and it sliced like butter! But...understand that it’s a high carbon steel not stainless. It’s considerably more brittle than stainless because it’s harder.

Such a beautiful knife...im a chef with 25 years of line experience...Out of the box it s the sharpest knife I ve ever used as far as I can remember. It s a good weight and feels comfortable in the hand as well. I ve julienned about 10 lbs onions and diced about 5 lbs of tomatoes and the egde is still sharp. The ease that it passed though the softest tomatoes was astounding. The blade is thin and delicate so you can make some precise cuts... however it is not intended for rougher tasks like hard mincing of fresh rosemary and thyme spigs, heading whole fish, smashing garlic with the side of blade, or trying to hack at frozen stuff...obviously. picked it up for 20 buck on sale. An absolute steal in my opinion.

extremely sharp :Really sharp. I would not advise for your day to day cook. You need some experience in handling cutlery to properly handle this chef knife. I really like it but I would not be comfortable with having inexperienced people use it. I cut my finger just getting it out of the box but that was my fault (I survived). I also would recommend that the non-cutting edges be rounded or protected from incidental cuts. Also, be careful when cleaning as the blade is extremely sharp!. Well Made Knife for the price, buy it Some people complained the knife rusts, it s carbon steel, yes it will rust, wash and dry by hand and coat with vegetable oil. Don t wash it in a dishwasher. I wish I had it 20 years ago .. WOW This is the REAL THING. Sharpens to super sharp and STAYS sharp for a very long time. Right wight helps chop things with ease. You will forget regular knives forever. Be careful though .. its extremely sharp .. spend some time with it to get used to the new ways. The leather case gives a crude and robust look. I use it my home and plan to show off when we go for camping.

Knife construction and materials are top drawer - beautifully made and well balanced. Blade thickness at delrin handle is equal to 2 dimes, thinning towards point to the thickness of a single dime. I expect a lifetime of use with this purchase. Will update if expectations are not met. As noted in pic, knife is constructed in Taiwan from high carbon stainless steel sourced from Germany. Excellent Knife :Takes very little effort to keep this knife shaving sharp. It absolutely needs to be respected... it s a fine edge and should be kept away from bone, heavy chopping, etc. It really shines as a vegetable prep knife, cutting breads and preparing meat cuts so long as you avoid anything like bone. It s one of my most used knives.This is a pretty good knife for your money; the blade is great and stays sharp longer than most of my other kitchen knives.

Beautiful Knife for Precision Cutting:This is a great knife. A fantastic knife. My go to knife. I love it because I can cut my ingredients all the same size. Whether I need brunoise my celery, julienne my carrots or cube my meat, I get the accuracy. The blade is neither too thick or too thin, which I think is key. Purchased this on a whim because I needed a beater knife for when the in-laws or friends visited and needed to cook. For the price it’s a decent knife. The weight is a bit on the light end, especially when compared to my Wusthof chef knife but that blade was 3x the price. The knife came with a good edge out of the box but durability is still to be seen. I’d recommend for someone who just needs an extra “beater” knife or someone who just needs a cheap chef knife to get their knife collection started.

Lovely knife. Well worth the purchase : I love this knife. It s razor sharp out of the box. The blade has enough meat on it s bones to be sturdy, but not so much as to feel heavy to use. The handle is gorgeous and ergonomic, though "pakkawood" simply seems to be laminated acrylic impregnated wood very much like the gunstocks that you can buy. I prefer to have a chefs knife and this one very much fits the bill. I will update later if my impression changes for any reason , but so far I am very happy with this purchase as well as the set I bought. The only thing I haven t tested is the longevity of the blade and how it wears with use. This knife in particular will see the most use.

Even after cutting coconut shells it stays sharp I wanted a good butcher knife. I thought if this is not good quality I could use it for cutting coconuts. I need to cut coconut for scrapping the coconut. People who do it understand what is all this about. It is a good knife for cutting chicken with bone. I have not tried other meat varieties so far. Anyway we wanted to try it cutting coconut shells. I thought it will lose its sharpness but it is good without any problems. using it for last one week.

Lifetime Investment, well worth the price This knife has everything I hoped for to replace my ten year old cheap knife. In addition to being dishwasher safe, it has a much sturdier blade. This helps in two ways: first, it won t flex during use, which makes it safer. Second, having more metal on the blade means that it will be worth the price of a professional sharpening when the time arises. In actual use it is noticeably easier to use than my old knife, even disregarding how dull the old knife was. The weight of the blade means I can create much more consistent and thinner slices without any additional effort. This knife is very lightweight and easy to use. It come out of of box extremely sharp so be careful. I have a large hand and the handle is a tiny bit small for my liking but it is still very comfortable. We only use it for cutting meats and it has no issues after using it for about two months. The handle is very pretty being a dark black and brown wood. Looks kind of like bocote wood.

Super sharp I was skeptical because of the price but I was wrong. Chefs knife can cut everything with it its so sharp goes thru everything so smooth. Do not use gor meats with bones will get chips and dings. But for that is imaraku cleaver no issues this this is a beast bones frozen meat anything you throw at it gets chopped.

sharp knife in professional quality: The knife sits very well in the hand, on the one hand by the shape and on the other by the grippy surface structure of the wood.It cuts very well and easily through everything I ve tested so far. For tomatoes it is perfect. The serrated blade runs right through the tomato. With peppers, you almost did not feel any resistance, but just “moved” the knife. With some vegetables (e.g. cauliflower), which I usually cut with my large twin knife, I found it very convenient that with its very sharp tip could be pierced and then cut slightly further. Since it was not a very large cauliflower, the blade length was enough for it.I will use it for some uses more than those for which such a serrated knife is often only used, as it has a convenient size, a suitable weight and a very comfortable position in the hand.

Seriously a GREAT Knife! I have used it extensively on slightly still frozen meats that again to my amazement slices right through them. I can then marinate the meat pieces while still slightly frozen. When cutting veggies and fruit the super breadth of the knife makes for ease of scooping and transferring either to your bowl or into the wok, pan or whatever you are using. Incredible value! Its also a "handsome" knife and seriously performs better than advertised!
